If a random Journeyman upset both Floyd and Pacquaio. Is he an ATG?

This can happen in boxing, one punch changes all.

Say some random Super WW journeyman somehow knocked Floyd out, get a shot at Pacquaio then knock him out.

Does this make him an ATG? Despite the rest of his resume being like 25-15.

This actually could have 'happened' at HW. Buster Douglas, if he managed to upset Evander and retire, would have 2 ATG Wins and nothing else.

Randall Bailey KO 6 Floyd Mayweather/Manny Pacquiao

To answer your question, yes, they would still be ATG, we could just use the excuse that they got old

Ah. I know that, of course they would be ATG'S.

I mean say Bailey does it, how much does he improve? Resume Wise?

    Hall of Fame?

Nevermind, I misread the question, no I don't think they will, you need more than one big win on the ledger. Iran Barkley beat Thomas Hearns twice, is a three-division world champion, but I don't call him an ATG.

No, not really. It'd be like winning the lottery twice as opposed to consistently beating great fighters through a span of many years. He definitely would gain fame though.

Early in his career, I had visions of Khan doing something like this; breaking with Freddie Roach, facing Manny, his old friend, in one of the most controversial and emotional events in years, and beating him while on the slide with his youth and speed. Then going on to catch Floyd at the right time too. It would take a hell of a lot of improvement and some luck, but the break with Freddie may have already started and I never saw that one coming realistically.

In terms of the fighter being an ATG, probably not, but they'd likely become known enough to make the Hall of Fame.

No way. He beat contenders at 175 before Jones. He was not a journeyman.
