If a young Mike Tyson turned up today on the HW scene, how would things pan out?

    Tyson could not keep his belt then and would not be able to get it now. Basically he was a North America champion - not the Champion of the World(not his fault though ).

    The success of 2012+ Tyson would be totally dependent on who would be handling him.

    Oh, yeah.. I forgot.. What was i thinking? No way a 215 pound guy beats a 240-250 Heavyweight, it is physical impossible..
    Weight=skill

    he'd destroy the fortysomething Klit boys and reign supreme until he imploded. VitKlit would become a fulltime politician. Wlad would tour as a spokesman, Haye would become an actor, and Audley Harrison would call Tyson out on youtube once he figures out how to use it properly.

    unless of course weight=skill, whereupon Butterbean would ponce out of retirement and squash Tyson.

    He would destroy all early competition and then a number of ranked contenders to get a title shot. How a fight against current Wlad would go is a tough one to call but I think a prime hungry Tyson destroys Wlad in 3

    Team K2 is not stupid and probably would offer fight before he is fully developed. Tyson has no chance against either Klitchko. Sorry to burst your bubble.

    hubble bubble, toil and trouble.

    The Klits are post prime now, they would beat by a Mike.

    A prime Tyson was fully developed very early on. In just over 12 months from turning pro he won the WBC belt by knocking out Trevor Berbick. To say a prime Tyson would have no chance against either Klitschko is a ridiculous comment!!! Wlad could outbox him if Tyson was having a bad night but a prime, focused Tyson would go straight for Wlad and his chin wouldnt stand up. Against Vitali I agree that he could maybe take the shots and use his boxing skills but no way Wlads chin stands up to Tysons shots, and believe me, he would land hard and often in the first rounds

    Anyone who thinks the Klitschkos wouldn't cause a prime Tyson problems needs to actually watch his early fights rather than drinking the kool aid. Tyson always had difficulties with tall, long fighters that sort to stifle him. Not saying he couldn't break free and win but its a very winnable fight for either Klitschko.

    And today Tyson would almost certainly start out at crusierweight and work his way up.

    @ Will Cooling. I totally agree and Tyson was an over-rated fighter in the later years. A fight against either Klit would have been tough to call but I just cant see Wlad surviving the early rounds

    Please review Tyson-Tucker and Tyson-Ruddock. '86-'88 Tyson might struggle with Vitali but he would destroy Peter and Arreola.

    A young Tyson right now would be seen as a savior and **** it all up.

    I hated Tyson when he was coming up, but come on . . . he would eat the Kbros unborn children then savagely bite off the ears of all the other contenders.
