If Abraham goes to 168 and fights Kessler.... how do you see it going?

Abraham would carry the weight just fine as we saw in the rematch against Miranda. Kessler would be very hard for him to beat though: with the Dane's workrate, most of the rounds will go to him as Abraham seems to rest for 2:30 of every round. Kesslers chin seems very solid (never down in 40 or so fights), so a knockout although possible is not that likely either. In fact, both men have chins among the best in boxing today.

a really really long night for abraham..

i dont have the exact measurements for the height and reach differential, but it surely favours kessler. Kessler will control the fight behind the jab, and on occassions punish abraham with a right hand.

to me abraham really only has one cahnce, which would be a lucky punch. He wont be able to fool kessler into trading or standing infront of him, while he is covering up, preparing to throw bomb.

stylewise this is as bad as is gets for abraham at 168.

i cant see anoyone knocking arthur out, that man has on of the best chins in boxing. So a wide ud in favour of kessler. something along the lines of 9-3

I dont know how you can rate kessler's chin that highly, when it really hasn't been tested that much?

Using my Official ESB Chinchecker scale of

    Iron
    Good
    Average
    Shaky
    Glass
    Amir Khan

We KNOW that Kessler's chin is at least on the Average scale. We suspect that its in the Good/Iron catergory.

But as you said untill its tested further we wont know exactly which one.

Abraham gets his ass pounded for several rounds before sustaining a **** your pants type KO in 7-8 rounds. This is the second Kessler/Abraham thread in the last few days, and it goes to show how ridiculously over rated Abraham is on ESB.

Well, his chin is not as tested as for instance Abraham's is after fighting Miranda for 6 rounds with a broken jaw... but i think it's solid, nonetheless.

The other day there was a thread of which current fighters had never been knocked down. There were very few of them (7 or so), and Kessler was one of them. He has had several fights at high level so his chin can't be bad or average, anyway.

Incidentally, Abraham was on that list as well.

The big unkown is if Kessler would stand up to Abrahams punches. Kess has never been down, but at the same time not many people have stayed on their feet when AA catches them.

Like most other posters, I would fancy Kesser on points (unless it's in Germany and has the same judges as the first AA-Miranda fight,) but wouldn't be surprised if AA KO'd or stopped him.

And in the Calzaghe fight, wasn't the main amount of damage by Joe C from body shots?

Yeah. Joe hurt him badly to the body so dread to think what AA could do if he caught him. But i don't think he would, or not often enough to put Kess in real danger. A wide UD victory for Kessler in this battle of meat luncheon.

Thing is I don't see Abraham using the body attack as greatly as Joe C did. I remember Calazaghe using the entire round before that one to set up the ensuing body work. Brilliant round from Joe.

    Kesller UD

his reach and workrate will do the difference , even if Abraham got the power on his side im not quite sure he can work his way in against kessler like he do in the middle!

but one way or the other is definitly a fight i want to see!
