Yeah, but you basically stated the obvious, as I said, making a thread to reiterate what others have said for months, and then slate me for talking about Abraham's power and chin being untested at the weight largely and then saying 'Yeah, way to right several paragraphs about nothing', when in fact that's what you did starting this thread. Whatever, let's move on.
Apologies for not doing a thorough search of the archives and making sure no-one had ever expressed this idea before I posted it. I most certainly will next time on the Original And Unprecedented Forum.
I like the idea of this fight turning into a war - but I don't think a KO is very likely in either boxer's case. Both men have been proven to have rock solid beards. I see this one going the distance. Let's just hope it's a brawl to the end! I can't wait.
Here's what I envision: Froch is in love with his boxing technique now that he's fought a close one with Kessler, hes going to start out walking around the ring and trying to put on a boxing clinic, he gets tagged hard and frequent, by the 4th or 5th he knows he's not going to win moving around and/or even running, so he starts letting off bombs, we get a war for 3-4 rounds with Arthur blocking most of his shots, some punches gets in to the body which won't dent Arthur, but he'll cry low blow. Then we'll see some sort of Miranda - Abraham II play where Froch gets tagged in an exchange, goes down. Gets up on shaky legs and gets put out brutally. Blast me if/when im wrong. This is going to end in 8-10.
Part of me wants to see a brutal shootout, part of me wants to see Froch box because I believe he is capable of it. **** it, ultimately I want to see the most exciting fight possible, so let fireworks commence!
I envision it much like the Pascal fight. Both fighter's taking hard shots [Abraham less cleanly than Froch] but ultimately, the work Froch does in spurts controlling it with his long-jab and I believe superior footwork seeing him edge to a decision win. [My bias may be clouding my judgement, but I'm not picking against him ]
I thought when Abraham was knocked down against Dirrell it was more of a balance issue as he was swingly widly when it happened. That said who knows what could happen if Froch lands a solid shot right on the kisser!
I think Froch's chin must be getting worn down by now. He seems to take big clean shots and get wobbled in every fight now. And although I agree that Abraham hasn't fully proved his punching credentials at smw, my gut feeling is that he possesses serious power. Unless Froch turns in the top-class boxing performance that many of us feel he is capable of but has not yet truly produced, I see him flat on the canvas.
I've to agree although I'm heavily biased. The biggest puncher AA ever faced was Miranda and even if Miranda might have more pop in his punches than Froch, we don't know what will happen if AA gets hit on the right spot. However, it is more likely that Froch can't take AA's punches than the other way round.
