IF Adamek beats Vitali, would that surpass Buster Douglas beating Tyson?

Your the 2nd person to comment about Adameks CHEEN. Since when is Adamek "chinny"? Taking a power shot right on the button by a fighter alot bigger & getting wobbled & NOT going down is NOT chinny. Getting nailed & going on your ass is chinny. Adamek has withstood some very solid shots from mutiple fighters much larger than himself.

Its a good thing he has CHEEN...HARD CHEEN. Or else he wouldn't be in the position he is in right now.

I know Tomas is undersized and not the most highly regarded heavyweight in history, but I believe Vitali is close to 40,and many consider him to be on the slide. When Buster beat Tyson,Mike was still undefeated and closer to his prime than Klitchko is now.Tyson-Douglas is frequently mentioned as the greatest upset in the history of the division. If Adamek wins,I don't believe that that will change.

This is puzzling, ya know? Maybe its the only fault people can find with him. But why look at his getting wobbled as chinny. Like I said, he keeps his feet & recuporates instantly.

Adamek will find a way to beat VK. His will to win & ring intelligence, along with very good boxing skills & combination punching is gonna be the difference.

But, he must avoid being KO'ed. Sosnowski hung in there for 10 rounds before he was dispatched. And TA is alot better then Albert.

    :bbb

BTW...this fight isn't that far off. July will be over before we know it. Then, one more month & a week+ and ITS SHOWTIME!!!

    ;-)

Have you ever seen Adamek fight in person? Maybe you were there when he beat Briggs in Chicago?

No way, not even ****ing close

Tyson was undefeated, a seemingly unmovable force that had steamed through everyone, he looked to be invincible and Buster was a B or C level fighter that had been beaten by Tucker and Ferguson, two guys that Tyson beat with relative ease.

Vitaly is near 40, has been beaten by Byrd and Lewis and has no where near the air of invincibility that Tyson had. Also, Adamek is a respected fighter and is rated much higher than Douglas was going in to the Tyson fight. It would be a huge upset, but most would say "it was going to happen eventually, Vitaly is getting on in years".

The bet line at the time, which was 1-40 says it all. This fight shouldn't have happened back then due to an obvious missmatch. Nothing will ever top this upset.

I would become a rich man as I was contemplating betting against Mike at the time. But that was inconceivable, incomprehensible and straight out blasphemous that Tyson would lose to Douglas back then.

Vitali isn't the #1 guy in the division, his brother is. He's not the P4P king and Adamek won't be a 42-1 underdog. So no it wouldn't top the Douglas-Tyson upset.

For that 1 night, Buster was an awsome heavyweight... He said "Fck Mike Tyson... I'm winning this for my mama."

    No Fear!

it couldnt beat tyson-douglas by a large margine and only be top 5, because tysons upset is ranked either 1 or 2 all time with the other being clay-liston

if the vegas odds maker put ademek as a 43-1 under dog, then yes...because douglas was a 42-1 under dog
