And beats Bell, Cunningham and Banks in the process. You're an idiot who's in denial. If Adamek's accomplishments are nothing, than Haye's must be even worse.

But if Adamek defeats Wlad, that would be unprecedented too (no one has captured the 3 upper weight divisions). In addition, if Adamek manages to beat Wlad, there would have to be a rematch and a likely fight with Vitali. What if he managed to win all 3?

Adamek would definitely surpass Pac if he beat Wlad.

However, as a fan of Adamek, I concede that it is simply not going to happen.

It's not unprecedented in boxing history. Bob Fitzsimmons would titles in the three upper weight divisions and it's a far bigger achievement than what Adamek could do. Jones did the same as Fitz and that too, was far more impressive.

Unprecedented in modern history? Yes, but then again, there hasn't been many great light heavyweights in modern history either. Jones would have done it, but he skipped the cruiserweight division because there's absolutely no money there.

    Look at it in context.

We're not talking about a heavyweight champ weighing in at 190 or a champ of the calibre of john ruiz.

We're talking about wlad who weighs about 75 pounds more than adamek did when he was first champion. He's gone from fighting guys at 175 to guys at 250.

Pac has gone from fighting guys at 106 to guys at 150.

The highest lineal champ pac fought was hatton, a mere 34 pounds north of his debut weight.

Adamek would be beating an atg lineal champ more than 75 pounds above his starting weight.

    It would be incredible.

Jones and moorer and spinks beat guys who were similar to them in height. Same with pacman.

If adamek pulls it off it is absolutely stunning.

If you want to talk about context, then you have to admit that Adamek was never a true 175lber, because of the modern day weigh in, and he never beat a quality, genuine 175lber either. Light heavyweights today are closer to 200lbs most of the time and the only reason they make the weight, is because they get rid of all the water weight. Under these circumstances, Rocky Marciano would likely have been able to weigh in at 175lbs too.

You mention lineal champions but Adamek wasn't lineal at 175lbs. Wlad would be the first lineal champion he's beaten.

I know. Klitschko is a much better fighter than Ruiz was, and I find it hard to imagine Jones beating Wlad, but Jones came from middleweight. It's a greater achievement, despite Ruiz only being a decent champion.

How much did he weigh on the night when he first fought briggs?

By that stretch pac has consistently weighed about 144 for a couple of years of now.

And as I said, i'm not talking about career as a whole and resume, i'm talking purely about weight jumping.

Adamek beating Wlad would be like Pac beating Martinez at 160 (no catchweight). In both fights, the bigger fighters would have been huge favourites.

The point for Adamek-Wlad is that Adamek can't demand a catchweight
while PAC's demands really lowering the 'purity' of his current achievements.

    Thats true.

However when Adamek fights Wlad it wouldnt be at catchweight of 220 pounds. Do you see the difference? He will fight a guy who weighs 30 pounds more than Adamek. And Adamek started fighting at 175. So you should consider the Wlad's weight, not Adamek's.
