If adamek beats wlad, does he surpass pacman's weight jumping exploits?

In terms of overall body of work, I agree with you. But Pacquiao hasn't beaten an opponent who was as dominant in his weight class as Wlad is in his weight class since he started his campaign to start rapidly scaling weights.

A more reasonable assessment is how you think Toney or Jones would have done against the Klits. That is to say, two world class fighters with vastly different optimal fighting weights. I'd venture to say anybody moving up to Heavyweight to fight the super heavyweights who dominate the division will have a harder time than pretty much anybody in any other division. I would say that Adamek beating Wlad would be more impressive than Haye beating Valuev AND more impressive than any size disadvantage Pacquiao has faced, IMO.

 

I agree. I think Cotto is a better fighter than Wlad though and, because of the difference in size, you could possibly argue Margarito is a tougher opponent too.

Even without looking at the latter half of Pacquiao's career, him going from 106 to 130 is very impressive. Beating the likes of Barrera, Morales and Marquez. Sure, none of those were as dominant but all three were better fighters than Wlad. The divisions they fought in were too good for any one dominant champion.

 

I'd certainly agree that Adamek beating Wlad would be more impressive. Especially as I think Haye is better than Adamek and Wlad is obviously far better than Valuev.

It's possible that both Toney and Jones could beat one of the brothers. I can't imagine either having much chance of beating Wlad though. It's hard to say. Both Toney and Jones are better fighters than the best either Klitschko has fought, excluding Lewis, and they have 4 losses out of those fights. The Klitschko's definitely aren't unbeatable and Toney and Jones would be something better than either have faced, so you can't rule it out.

One thing we don't know is how good Jones' chin was. Post-heavyweight, he had a glass jaw. However, it was probably weakened by age and losing too much muscle, too quickly. If he did have a solid chin at heavyweight, it's plausible he could beat Vitali. Toney could also possibly outbox Vitali as he's a much better version of Johnson, who made Vitali look bad. It's not impossible to imagine a fit and prepared Toney winning 7 or more rounds against Vitali.

its hard to say right definitely. Adamek fights bigger men, Pac the same but Puc funs himself on catchweight contracts, Adamek doesnt.

It would be simply better (if Adamek somehow beats Wladimir). I think that many people misunderstood you and thought about resume overall.

Whats more when Pac was fighting at 106 was a kid. At this age Adamek weighed much less than 175. He was a MW in the amateurs until he was a 19-20 yo.
