Wilder is a nobady and Povetkin is old and shot. Juiceshua’s best win is 41yo wlad and you know juiceshua went life and death with shot Wlad.

He won't ever enter the top 5 or top 10 , but Wlad also isn't in the top 10 and Vitali certainly isn't either.

He surpasses Vitali easily if he gets past Povetkin. Hardly any debate there.

Passing out Wlad is achievable since Povetkin is Wlads best win and Joshua could beat him in more impressive fashion.

Povetkin made Wlad produce a hideous foul fested performance which exposed his true talent level since wresteing illegally was the only way he was able to win.
Johsua may blow Povetkin away without committing a single foul and if he does he'll establish himself as a far greater talent and fighter than Wlad ever was.
He already proved that by beating Wlad but a good performance against Povetkin makes it undeniable.

No way he needs to dominate at least 4 years to surpass Wladimir

well to be fair, wlad didnt really "dominate over 4 years, he bent the system to fight 80% bums. In the time he went solo, his only real defences were Pov and Haye (and perhaps fury would have counted).

If AJ beats Pov then he equals one of wlads best win. but you would expect him to repeat the feat 3 times to equal wlads feat of beating haye, chaggy, iggy.

Beating an older Povetkin does not jump Wlad. However he is clearly young enough to string together enough quality defenses to pass Wlad. Even at this stage Povetkin is a solid win especially if he does it in style. Wilder despite his faults is a very good scalp. Add in the future options of Usyk and an in shape Fury and you have the makings of a solid resume.

    Not quite, herol.

That'd be like saying that Berwick equaled one of Frazier's beat wins.

On the thread question, the answer is an obvious NO.

But it would be a decent win and with a few more like that, including Wilder, he would be well on his way to getting into ATG conversations.

He's certainly the top dog in the division at this point, and realistically, the lineal champion after beating Wlad.

Since this is a mismatch, it changes nothing. The only change that's possible is if pov somehow legitimately wins a round.

Beating opponents that have zero chance doesn't mean anything

Perhaps not yet , but Wlads talent ceiling was seen in his performance against Povetkin. He didn't impress or prove he was above the level of Povetkin since the fight showed he was the bigger boxer , not the better boxer.

A high level opponent will bring out the best in a true ATG , but the worst was brought out in Wlad every time he fought high level opposition.
He can't compete against Povetkin level guys without constant fouling and would end up losing like he did against Brewster because in that fight Robert Byrd forced him to fight clean and within he rules.

Antony Joshua will show that a more skilled and better SHW won't need to bear hug every 5 seconds in order to beat Povetkin.
