If AJ beats Povetkin, does he rate higher than the Klitschko brothers in the ATG ratings?

Peter was overrated but Vitali has KO wins vs Sanders, Johnson and Hide.

What does Vitali have to do with this? His resume is garbage.

Vlad will still have a better resume than Joshua's if Joshua beats Povetkin. AJ has three good wins on his resume. Vlad beat Chris Byrd, David Haye, Eddie Chambers, Pulev and Povetkin, among others.

When Anthony unifies the alphabet titles against Wilder & then claims the lineal championship from Fury, then he's on the ATG list.

Right now he's on the alphabet titlists list with Charles Martin & Bermane Stiverne.

Get out the magnifying glass & check the footnotes of the heavyweight history books if you want to read about him.

Defending against Povetkin in order to keep the third-tier WBA strap (which he would have kept anyway had he unified against Wilder) is one of the worst strategic management decisions of a fighter that I think I've seen.

Shocking decision that I think may have unintended catastrophic consequences.

    We'll see.

Vitali, yes. He already does in my eyes.

Wlad, no. He'd need to put at least a good few years of domination for that.

It's how he copes and rebuilds after his first defeat which will give the clearest indication of potential greatness, aside from a better and more extensive resume. At the moment he's fighting with very little self-doubt - or at least without material reason to doubt himself. Some fighters are never the same after a loss; some come back better than before.

Yeah, hell I already reckon him better than Wlad. Just wasn't ever impressed by Wlad. Not losing to guys who are too small, too fat, too old, and don't have much of a skill set in the first place even if they were full size inshape HWs just isn't that impressive. He has no win worth mention and no display of skills worth study.

Wlad at no point in his career displayed any ability to handle Joshua any better than he did. Same for Fury. People want to say he got old, but dude lost to B-side talent when A-side talent was worth a ****, reigned over one of the weakest periods in HW history, and as soon as guys somewhere around the talent level of the old b-side showed up he went right back to losing.

    AJ > Wlad.

AJ is already a more well rounded fighter than Wlad ever was at any point in his career. People don't know what
they are talking about when it comes to skills.

The heavyweight division is the only one where the sizes of two fighters can be drastically different. The Klitschko brothers usually had a 4-5 inch height and 25lbs weight advantage over most of their opponents.

Klitschko lost his last two fights because Fury was taller and Joshua was the same height but more muscular.

Joshua actually has an inside game and looks to unleash damaging uppercuts, Klitschko's inside skills consisted of grabbing and occasionally doing judo throws on much smaller opponents.

AJ has one or two prime world class wins, Wlad has a few more (maybe 4)

Pov does nothing to add to it, so no.

Besides which, 3 or 4 good wins dont make you an ATG

AJ first needs to clone a brother to win for him, then hes on par.
