I think everyone on both sides want the fight it Vegas it would mean AJ/Wilder would be on US PPV which of course means more money. But at the moment that's just nothing more than a hope not a reality.

But who knows the hype for this showdown is growing. Wilder has done more in the last few months to grow his profile than in the rest of his career combined. He's on a reality TV show with his GF, he's been calling out Joshua whenever possible, his twitter following has doubled in the last couple of months.

Despite what Joshua haters and Wilder nuthuggers were saying earlier, this fight needed building, which is why neither side really wanted it now. Maybe it will workout and we see this fight in the US or maybe it doesn't and it comes to Wembley, we'll just have to wait and see.

    Agreed.

Of course it could be Parker VS Ortiz in Vegas or New Zealand if Joshua and Wilder don't keep focused.

I say Wembley for two main reasons.

The first and biggest, is the dodgy scorecards that foreign boxers have been getting lately in the US in general and in Vegas specifically. I'm thinking of Ward/Kovalev 1 and GGG / Canelo mainly. Why would anybody want to take that risk, especially being the financial A side? Why risk losing to three blind mice in Vegas when you can get a more favourable judging experience elsewhere? Not saying that the Brits can't be biased, but I don't recall any outright robberies there recently.

Second reason is that AJ is a sure thig in Britain, whereas Wilder is ho-hum in the US. For such a big event, why take chances?

It may have broke some sort of record but definitely not the attendance record for sport in the UK.

It didnt even do 898K so i dont know where you got those figures from.It got 620K or close to that, which is still poor when you consider Fury v Klitschko got over a Million not at prime time on HBO

It equaled the record for the highest attendance for a boxing event in the UK, previously held when Len Harvey fought Jock McAvoy at White City in London in 1939.

    http://www.skysports.com/football/n...-contest-will-match-british-attendance-record

The highest attendance at a sporting event in England was 126,047 at Wembley Stadium, 28th April1923, at a football match between Bolton Wanderers FC and West Ham United FC.

Just double checked it apparently did 659K so both our memories suck, it's just mine sucks way more lol.

I think I mixed up the figures between Wilder/Stiverne and Joshua/Wlad which did 887K on showtime.
