IMO no. The guy drinks, went in a war against Klitchko (HVW fight of the decade from what I saw), and he was hurt by Ruiz. Once your punching resistance starts to go down it never goes up again. But that being said, he so tall and talented, he can still take some punishment, he has to be careful and win a decision. On the other hand if Ruiz rushes him Joshua has a KO opportunity. He just need to stay in his game plan, land the left hand and fallback instead of staying in Ruiz firepower.
He'll need to if he wants to win because Jnr is going to be at least 15% better in this fight. Joshua is going down.
It took him ages to properly recover against Klitschko. He was only buzzed by Whyte, not properly hurt.
I couldn't give a feck where Joshua is, sonny. Just by having the belts and stopping Joshua, Jnr is automatically 10% better than last time. I'm adding another 5% for his full camp and weight loss.
Let’s be truthful, the shots from Klitschko and Ruiz would have dropped any heavyweight and 90% wouldn’t have made the count! The shot from Ruiz was different in that it landed behind the ear which is far more disorienting and concussive long term than a shot to the chin. Anyone who’s been badly concussed knows that it puts you in a strange dream state of confusion where you physically function but have no real cognitive control. A clean shot on the chin either knocks you out or forces your body to betray your brain leaving your legs stiff and unresponsive but if you can survive you can get back into a fight. It’s the exact opposite of concussion, you’re heads clear but your body won’t function.
I'm not sure AJ recovered that great in the klitschko fight, he was reeling against the ropes at one point, its just the fact Wlad didnt finish him, another fighter could have. Its been said before but the difference is when Ruiz had AJ hurt he didnt really let him fully recover. AJ will be in big trouble if he is hurt again because Ruiz will have more confidence, he knows he can finish AJ so will prbably go for it more. The key for AJ is not to get hit or hurt in this fight, which is fairly obvious, he has to at least hurt Ruiz significantly first.

I think he’s still got mental scars, as he should. Ruiz will connect and hurt AJ in their rematch, personally I think AJ will fold, it’ll be a real test of character for him.
