He'd be an idiot to retire. He can con the Brit public out of millions with a "the hunger is back" tour with Chisora, Ruiz 3, Parker 2. All should be easy wins and 100m in the bank.

I'd look at him as a hugely exciting prospect who was talked out of being the Fighter he really was. Too much over thinking. Heavyweights do lose fights.
The Joshua smiling and sticking his tongue out against Whyte and Klitschko in absolute wars was the most exciting Heavyweight we had seen in years.

I'd put him top 30. He's never ducked anyone and had unified twice and avenged his first loss. Losing to Usyk who may well be one of the greatest fighters in recent history is no shame. I think people just hate on AJ because he's not American.

Olympic champ, x2 time world champ. Had a great career, managed well, marketing machine, made a ton of money, in a few decent fights. Top 50 heavyweight. Yes hyped and overrated to a degree to the max, but a career most would dream of.

In that case, I would rank AJ like this. In the aftermath of Lennox Lewis (the last undisputed champion) era below:
    Wladimir Klitchko
    Vitali Klitschko
    Tuson Fury
    Oleksandr Usyk
Deontay Wilder. Yes, even under Wilder, who had 10 debatable defending titles (if Wilder doesn't have another defeat, or retire).

And above: Chris Bird, Charles Martin, Andy Ruiz Jr., David Haye, Nikolai Valuev, Ruslan Chagaev, John Ruiz, Bermane Stiverne, Samuel Peter, Oleg Maskaev, Hasim Rahman, Joseph Parker.

So he would be between the 20th and 30th place on the ATG list.

He has a legacy of selling out stadiums, his fights not often being boring, delivering some brutal KO's and not really ducking anyone.

He's beaten every fighter he's faced, and losing to Usyk is not shameful at all.

He is a HOFer who got beat by an ATG.

I don't think he will retire because Fury will fight him at some point, guaranteed.

He was entertaining to watch, and it's partially because he's vulnerable.

Under Wilder? I don't know what you're smoking but can I have some?

Wilder has ****ing fought no one near AJ level besides Fury, to whom he lost 3 times. His only respectable win was Ortiz.

    Joshua has beaten -

Wlad - Would have KO'd ortiz.
Povetkin - 38 yo - Would have beaten Ortiz
Ruiz - Would have beaten Ortiz
Whyte - Would have KO'd Ortiz
    Parker - 70/30 for Parker
Pulev - I'd favour Ortiz maybe if we're talking 2018 Ortiz.

Besides Pulev, all of the above would probably beat Ortiz.

So I'd love to know what logic you're using to say Wilder is above JOshua. Maybe Wilder would beat Joshua, but if we don't have a fight between them we have to go off resume.

Compared to Joshua's resume, Wilder's resume sucks ass. Who's Wilder's most respectable win after Ortiz? Breazeale? Washington? Stiverne? lol.

If he gets ko'd the game is up and he can retire to his Waitrose shopping

Okay, you don't have to discuss in that tone right away. To clarify what I wanted to say. This only applies if AJ loses to Usyk and retires, and Wilder has no defeats until the end of his career, or is retiring now.
All the facts you have listed are correct.
Wilder's opponents are "B class", but he has 10 debatable title defenses, including a draw with Fury, which is controversial.
The big mistake in AJ’s career is that he didn’t fight Wilder and Fury (and in case AJ fought Fury his score would be even worse).
Just as Wilder's score would have been better had he not fought Fury; he could retire undefeated.
