Forget 12 months, they've not made any effort to unify since he's been WBC champ... 4 years and counting.
Klitschko only got back into the fight because Joshua gassed, for the rest of the fight he looked very slow. The two times in the fight that Joshua turned the heat on he knocked down Klitschko. Joshua doesn't gass now and Klitschko will be even slower. It will be a total mismatch.
I strongly suspect that Wład will be back. Might as well go ahead and "eat" Briggs now (for his return fight). Easy kayo win for him there.
While Wlad did give Joshua a very close fight and if a rematch had happened directly after it would of been a huge fight now with Wlad having been retired, being even older and Joshua having improved since their first fight this fight doesn't appeal as much as it did. Maybe if Wlad came back and crushed a top contender like Whyte or Ortiz then maybe it could be sold again as an appealing fight but right now I'd rather see him rematch Whyte who has been active and beating decent competition of late.
Let me ask you or anyone who know exactly, What is Wladimir's status in boxing at the moment? He has not yet announced his retirement, has he?
I don’t know if he has you know, I don’t think he officially announced his retirement after that AJ fight.
