Considering it's voted for by the public and joshua has a likeable personality to the majority of the population, I'm gonna say yes.
If AJ was the one who fought wlad, at least boxing would be rid of wlad. He'd still be in a hospital bed , doubt he'd be out of ICU yet
I don't think so. Murray won the vote by a landslide and while Joshua winning the world title at such an early stage would be a remarkable achievement what Murray did hadn't happened for so long it was a far rarer achievement than a Brit winning a heavyweight title. I expect more than one other Brit to win the heavyweight title in my life time but for Britain to win the Davis cup that may not happen again after Murray retires for a very long time. Also the way Murray did it with that final point was dramatic and the fact not so long ago Britain was on the brink of relegation to the lowest level in 2010 to go on to win the cup is quite a feat.
AJ has never been as diabolically stupid to denounce gay and women on tv/radio, so he'd have a chance. Fury brought his troubles on himself by replacing relevant wins/resume with trash talk to get attention, and now he pays the price of his choice. On the other hand Andys was the more historical win and he is the more historically relevant in his sport from the point of view of Britain. Noone in 70 years has come close to his career from Britain, ****ers like Henman are a full tier below him.
This pretty much sums it up .the BBC or queens awards shouldn't be taken any notice of. You have to be a certain type to win the awards Eg Anthony Joshua ex drug dealer robs an Olympic gold and gets an MBE for it Tyson fury no criminal record beats an atg and 10 year reigning champion to become the heavyweight champion of the world. No recognition what so ever
He'd have even less chances than Fury. The ***got elites didn't want him winning, but the people loves him. Joshua on the other hand isn't that likeable- he's a huge jerk in the ring, and ranges between ****y and too controlled outside it
