I see that a big punch means so much more to you than skill, but guess what? Skills pay the bills. :bbb. I have no hate for any fighter, you do. You guys use alts and everything just to say that your fighter is the best ever. Me, I just say Ali is the best ever lol.

    As far as the OP...

Ali was very, very good, but not invincible as portrayed in the 70's

Foreman winning the linear after 10 years of preaching at 46 years old certainly doesn't hurt Ali in this debate. However I have to agree with Chitown in that Lennox Lewib and Tyson and Wladimer would have been to much for Ali. I believe Vitali would have emerged victorious also. Any boxer that thinks Wladimer has a glass chin is only doing Wladimer a huge favor. Of the 78 Heavy Weight Champs nobody has had as many fights against big dudes and less losses than Wladimer. Wladimer has never been TKO'd by a single punch like Lennox and he has never been KO'd. Ali has never met a southpaw with the power of Sanders and Tyson and Lewis I believe have never fought southpaws. Ali was downed by southpaws Cooper and Frazier.

You're obviously not just having a laugh here. This post seems serious.

You're right about Ali's opponents being slow and unskilled. But that's exactly why Ali would beat today's heavies: they are also slow and unskilled.

You mention Ali getting floored by small guys: yes! That's who gives Ali problems. Smaller men. Not big guys.

You make a lot of true statements and then just draw stupid illogical conclusions. You're saying Ali beat big guys like Foreman and Lyle, but for some reason you think today's big guys beat Ali. These guys are equally big and untalented. And even if a couple of today's guys are slightly bigger than Foreman, it just means Ali would knock them out in 10 rather than in 8.

Ali was 215 later in his career when he was slower and openly admitted he couldn't train hard enough to get rid of his pot belly. Wlad is just enormous and would have such a huge size, power and strength advantage that this fight would just be like Wlad, Chris Byrd. Wlad has throughout his career thrashed men bigger and heavier than himself but those big guys lacked his speed, technique and foot speed. His lateral movement is very impressive for such a huge fighter. No cruiserweight, which Ali was during his prime beats the athletic superheavyweight Wlad Klitschko. Nostalgia is great but rarely accurate.

What fighter was bigger and heavier than Vlad? Just curious.

That's easy. Wach at 6 foot 8 and 260lbs, Austin at Wlad's height but about 10 to 15 pounds heavier, same with Tony Thompson but again heavier than Wlad. Sanders was I believe about Wlad's weight but a little shorter and bulkier at a shade under 6 foot 5. Unbeaten Macline at Wlad's height but with more weight and much more bulky, massive physique. Wlad actually handles big and tall fighters generally very comfortably as he is so much more athletic than most other big men his size. His boxing technique is way above most heavyweight fighters. Cruiserweight who spar with Wlad always reference his bizarre speed and how difficult he is to catch flush.
