If all decisions went the way you scored it, what would ATG's records look like?

Not having seen the Bernard Taylor fight yet, I'd say Pedroza is 39-6-3.
With Pedroza drawing with Laporte and Lockridge in the first fight.

I havent seen that taylor fight, but he was the media darling cuz of his gold medal, i would think that the judges would favour him. Lockridge beat gomez and pedroza, so he should be in the hall of fame. Hes 46-7 in my books.

You could definitely make an argument that he beat Pedroza, in both fights actually. Only had Pedroza by a point in the rematch, and that's scoring a few rounds even which could arguably have gone to Rocky.

His good showing against Chavez (had him losing 7-5) also does alot for his standing, given that he was only ever really a featherweight, and a small one at at. He actually came in at 122 for the rematch with Pedroza. It worked well in that he had more stamina than in the first fight and Pedroza wasn't able to own him in the championship rounds (like he did in the first fight), but he gave up quite a bit of size and Pedroza moved him around quite easily when he chose to.

He was definitely shafted against Gomez, he clearly won that fight. By 3 points on my account, and that's probably being somewhat charitable to Wilfredo. Of course, Gomez was pretty spent by that stage.

The one blot on his record is the hammering he got from LaPorte.

I'm not sure I'd have him in the HOF, but Mancini and McGuigan are no better than Rocky.

BTW, Bernard Taylor wasn't a gold medalist.

He lost to Raheem. He won all 3 vs Barrera on my card.

McGuigan's performance against Taylor was excellent.

I actually had all three fights even and I guess you could make a case for Morales in all three, but not by more than a point or two in either fight. What kind of scorecards did you have for the fights?

I had Morales' first fight with Pac even as well. Haven't seen the Diaz fight as yet.

It'd be a pain in the arse trying to do an Emile Griffith one- virtually every win & loss was a debatable decision.

    :yep

Given how many he's been involved in, you'd have to think that on the law of averages, he'd come out with about the same record, just as James 'SD' Toney did on my ledger.

I don't have my scorecards any longer. The 1st fight was debated on the forum some time ago. The 2nd I think even the majority of people thought Morales was robbed. The 3rd one, Morales was landing more often and cleaner punches than Barrera. Had one of the judges not scored 11th round for Barrera (only a blind man could see Barrera winning that round), it'd be officially a draw, but for me I preffered clean effective punching from Erik, than not very clean or solid punches from Barrera in close.

The Larry Holmes forum doesn't count. Those idiots likely that Holmes would have won a UD if he was given a Tyson rematch in 1988.

By the way, all the major boxing publications had Spinks ahead: Ring, Boxing Illustrated, Boxing News, KO. One or two of 'em by a five point margin.

I'm sure it hasn't escaped the notice of others but it's amusing that ALL the heavyweights Bill has featured now sport 'worse' records...except...:yep
