    Save Cooney, Smith and the Truth, Holmes was taller or as tall as any of his 20 defense victims. His reach was longer than Muhammad Ali's. Hardly average.

    From the first time you put the gloves on in the gym, you naturally begin assuming the style best tailored to your body features, which will differ from the next fellow's. Heck, this all goes back to those first tussles in kindergarten. Body features inform so much of what an individual is.

    Temperament and punching power count as well. Holmes saw value in not getting hit so much; "Big" George Foreman just came at you because he could.

    Rooney era Tyson. Had everything he needed but the size. Good power. Decent enough defense. Most of all PUNCH ARSENAL. Ofcourse, I don't know that early Tyson's heart was tested enough.
