If Amir Khan had a strong chin would he have been able to beat Canelo Alvarez?

Canelo worked out how to catch him by throwing to the body, Khan started flinching to protect his body and that`s when Canelo switched upstairs and scored with right hand, he is a more creative fighter than Khan, who wasn`t landing much and was getting tagged by hooks because his defense isn`t as good as Canelo`s.
    What does anyone think?

Nah he was too tiny to fight nelo even if his chin was granite their is still a good chance nelo sparks the smaller khan.

I think he would have ended up taking a massive beating.
Alvarez was taking his time and landing more and more as the rounds went by.
If Khan had any real ring IQ, he would been able to adapt during fights. But he has never shown anything like that.
Which leads me to the conclusion that Alvarez would have just beaten him up for 12 rounds.(if Khan had an iron chin)
Maybe close on the cards, but pretty one sided when all things considered.

I always laugh at the "Khan was winning on the cards!"(the official cards were BS tho) Dude got figured out and KTFO in the 6th. Suddenly some forgot about the other 6 rounds...
Same **** in the Garcia fight.

he would need iron chin, not just strong. hes coping with big weight disadvantage.

anyway he'd rather get knocked out.

    Nope.

Canelo was going through the motions in that fight.....not a single minute was Khan in true control.

Thing is the punch which Canelo hit him with was so clean. Would it be logical to take punches like that. As Ray Leonard said hit and not get hit, but he was not just hit a little. He was hit right on the button. If you are hit that clean no matter what, you might be knocked out. So saying, well if his chin were great. Could he take 5 of those punches. Why not 10.. It was still a very clean punch.

If my grandmother had balls she would be my grandfather. The fact is Khan does not have a strong chin. Yes he has handspeed and foot speed combined with a low fighting IQ. In football terms he is a bit like Luke Shaw needing Mourinho’s brain to help him along.Seems Luke Shaw has learned his lesson but Khan has not.

    No.

Khan doesn't just lack a chin he also lacks a defence, ring IQ, adaptability etc...

A better question would be, if Khan had just average speed how good would he have been?

Probably not even British level tbh.
