wow, a good thread from MW!

hmmm i think he needs longevity. hatton beat the best at 140, and was considered the best for 2/3 years. khan will most likely move up first

I'm shocked by this thread. It actually isn't filled with hate, bias and idiocy. Hence I shall respond in kind.

Aside from Zoo, Hatton's 140 reign wasn't that impressive, and the Zoo win is tainted because of the fouling. Malignaggi is his best win, but Paulie's claim to fame is getting his jaw broken by Cotto. Castillo was a good win, but tempered by the fact that Castillo looked bad prior to the fight and since. Without the early and brutal ko it wouldn't even be a good win. Urango isn't a bad win, but Hatton was hugging like he just got home for Christmas for the second half.

Bradley, Alexander, Maidana, and Ortiz are still early in their careers, so its a little unfair to judge at this point, but I'm guessing that at least one of them will have an impressive career when the dust settles. So at this point no, but when we look back in a few years very conceivably it could be yes. Khan is also a very young fighter so he could rack up even more great wins against boxers who aren't even names now.
