Probably not, but he would really need to beat a top fighter after Kotelnik. I'd say Floyd vs Victor Ortiz in the future is much more likely than Floyd vs Khan.

 

If Khan did beat a few good fighters, it would make a lot of money. Floyd wants to fight there, and GBP does have interest in staging a fight there also.

People need to look at this like this, Hatton our top fighter has just had a crushing defeat, after Hatton the next biggest star in terms of generating big money is Khan who is already on PPV here in U.K. Now Floyd loves England and says he wants to buy a house in London and wants one big fight here in London.

Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer said himslef that Khan is on Mayweather's list of fighters he wants to fight, it would make big sense in terms of big money. Khan being 5'10 would have no trouble moving upto 147 if the fight was made.

Hes lightweight as of now, right? Hes legit already, IMHO.

 

he can punch but he's low level at best. I can only think of one KO win that wasn't through volume, accumulation or a slightly early stoppage.

He doesn't punch that hard on current evidence. We'll have a better indication against the sturdy Kotelnik.

 

Id be interested to see what Khan does if he actually win this belt...Im picking Kotelnik but I think Amir can do it....and to tell you the truth I still sorta rate him and wouldnt mind seeing him against some bigger names.

But after that it looks like he will have to face the winner of the Victor Ortiz-Marco Maidana fight for the interim WBA belt. Both of these guys are big punchers and proper 140 pounders.

You really think Amir will take a risk against one of these guys? I personally think he and his management would rather bin the belt then try their luck there.
