Let's assume for just one moment that when Dillian Whyte caught AJ he really did hurt his shoulder to the point that not only could he not go for the kill but couldn't throw a meaningful right for the rest of this fight.....COULD we be seeing a different golden boy with AJ being painted as a cross between FB and DP. I like the clean cut image of Joshua and he sure does look the part but I just can't help feeling more nervous when he gets in with a big hitter than I would for somebody like Fury who does seem to have the skills of leaning out the way.

Josuha took 3 big whacks of a guy that can punch a bit and didn't go down. He's got a thick neck so I can see him being able to take a decent dig. The problems is does he go all frank Bruno who once he was hurt froze and just let guys unload on him.

Fury has been put down by guys who don't punch very hard got up and recovered and finished well. Took shots of Wlad and a couple of clean right hands and barely flinched.

I think they are both vulnerable in different ways if Fury gets ****y and leaves his chin out he can be hurt. If his fitness drops - and he's come into the ring in dire shape before he probably doesn't get back up against a big hitter.

Joshua can be hit and cleanly the next question is can anyone put him under sustained pressure to put him away.

I don't think he will turn into a gun shy price. His attributes are different - Price's jab should be a real weapon but it isn't. AJ throws in combination a bit more

Josh is fast an carrys Bellews power.

He took some nice shots from Whyte an despite him saying he wasnt hurt by them, you could see by his legs and reactions he was.

Josh is still learning and unfortunately its not a great division so may have world title fight to soon.

Was it emotion/bad blood he got caught a few times? inexperience? we shall see, he needs more fights of same calibre as whyte.

Whyte surprised a lot of people, me included as whenever i had previously seen him he looked fat and chisora number 2. I thought he wanted out by doing after AJ after the bell, but fair play to him, he give it his all, if he hadnt been injured with his shoulder he may of had a punchers chance, but i think AJ would have won still tbh

Haha :rofl Im actually a bit sick of it to be honest

As stated in another thread my mate is a casual an thinks the sunshines out of AJs ****, he is constantly talking about this fight now, an how much of a beast AJ is, yet wanted Fury to lose and gives him no credit.

Tonight he stated he cant wait for AJ to knock Fury out and he could do it now, he has bet me £50 when the fight happens it wont go passed 3 rounds. Won £20 off him with the Whyte fight, same bet.

People often ponder when someone doesn't go down. Remember, they do have 10 seconds to get back up and go again.

However, if say the IBF belt is on say Martin in the new year he would beat him easily. I think Joshua's chin certainly isn't as bad as Price's but clearly he didn't look great for a time in there with Whyte.
Head movement is something Joshua needs to work on.

It was a good fight but if we're truly honest it was a British level fight bigger up to the *******ing as though we were watching or about to watch two top 10 heavies about to go at it.
