    This is what should happen.

Alexander if he loses should fight Maidana.

    Khan should fight berto.

Bradley if he wins should fight clottey.

I don't really want to see bradley v khan yet. As i feel both guys are not at the level in which such a potential mega fight could reap the rewards from.

Alexander v Bradley is way to early to be made.

Once the stars lose who is coming up behind them, to generate money for the sport?

Pac and mayweather are on their way out, once these matches are made, what will we have left at 140-147? I guess Super middleweight will be where another star is born.

Clottey doesn't deserve to fight anyone. Not unless he shows he understands that throwing punches helps you win.

I actually think the Bradley-Alexander winner is going to target Berto for their move up to 147. makes sense.

Before anyone considers making a move up to 147, they will first want to settle things at 140. This seems to be the approach that Khan and Bradley are taking.

When all these top fights happen, what will we have left? Who generating income for the sport of boxing after that?

The sport is in a bad shape. It slowly sinking just like the Titanic. Once pac and mayweather has left who will generate PPV's?

Mayweather and pac will be in the sport another two years, with one of the young guns challenging them after one another.

    Plus berto and alvarez etc

These guys – Alexander, Bradley, Khan, Maidana and Ortiz – are all young, and there’ll be plenty of opportunities for rematches in the coming years. Not to mention emerging talents such as Rios, Brook etc, who’d want a piece of the action too. There were PPV stars before Mayweather and Pacquiao, and there’ll be PPV stars afterwards too.

You named a lot of talented fighters, but looking at it on a business stand point the only one I can see becoming a ppv star is Khan. He is very vocal, talented and marketable.

If Alexander loses his career and marketability is going to take a serious hit, he arguably would have lost his last two fights.

Bradley is a good fighter, but seriously overrated, he is no better than a prime zab judah.

As for rios and brook both are good young fighters, but we are talking about finding stars who could generate a 600k to a million ppv buys in the future to compete with the ever growing UFC.

It so easy to say boxing will survive, but i'm not so sure. If Khan, Bradley and Alexander think fighting the likes of Mayweather and Pac is going to be a passing of the torch they are sadly mistaken. They would get their asses kicked and further dent their chances of ever carrying that torch with any credibility.

What i'm basically trying to say is once pac and mayweather leave, 140-147 is going to be like the current heavyweight division, nothing special at all. I think the higher weightclasses such as super middleweight will have a better chance of carrying the sport.

First it was when Oscar retires whats boxing going to do, then it was when Mayweather retires whats boxing going to do, now its when Pac retires whats boxing going to do?

Hell, even a guy like Cotto is a decently known name in the US. And he will be around for a few more years to, and may wind up passing the torch to someone as well.

And just because boxing wont have a ppv monster to generate back to back million dollar buys for awhile, its not the end of boxing, and secondly, the void will be filled, like it always has. Just because its not apparent now, doesnt mean it wont happen.
