If Andre Ward clearly loses to Carl Froch...how much would his stock drop for you ?

if ward loses to froch it means that we haven't learned a thing out of s6, since

kessler lost to ward
froch lost to kessler
ward lost to froch (assumption)

in this case s6 cannot crown the best at 168,
in other words: bute beats them all

Yeah i can see how this is relevant in this thread. Mentally weak fighter coming up against a puncher and afraid to man up and fight, holds and falls all over the place, goes into his next fight and feigns injury in the 10th round knowing that he is cracking under pressure and could get knocked out. So, in short, yeah it would affect Ward.

Not at all, because Froch is a very good boxer and I dont think Ward is invincible. I put him right now at no.1 at 168, but not by much so he will only confirm his no. 1 or 2 in the division in this fight, so his stock will not drop for me.

I agree, style wise Froch is the easiest victim for Bute

 

I'm actually reserving my true judgement of Ward for that fight. It's his biggest fight to date, against a proven performer and the toughest mofo to 168. Guess we'll see if he really is that great.

 

I think Ward will out think and out fox Froch to a decsision win. He's also more naturally gifted and if he fights the way he fought Kessler it will be a good night. As for Bute, it's hard to compare him to Ward or Froch so far because he's not fought anyone of note yet.
I'd put Ward, Froch and Kessler as the top 3 of the division for now.

 

Froch has better hand speed than Ward. Not sure where the myth of Ward's speed is coming from. Average speed at best.

 

If Froch hand speed is superior to Ward, why did he struggle with Mikkell Kessler.


Ward is far and away faster then Froch. To even claim its close is absurd.

 

Some, I mean you go from undefeated world champ, to an also ran, his stock would have to drop. That being said Froch is a really good fighter and there's no shame in losing to him.
