Ward wouldn't have been able to beat Jones and Hopkins, Calzaghe had to be aggressive to beat those guys and it would've been difficult for Ward to display cautious aggression.

Calzaghe is a special fighter, who never backed down from anyone, applied pressure, boxed, and could punch with both hands ... and he took risks when he needed to ... Ward has yet to show those dimensions.

The only fighter who might beat Ward is Hopkins. And even then I think Ward would turn up the pressure and basically beat Hopkins the same way Calzaghe and Taylor did, on pure activety.

Eveyrone else Ward destroys. Are you serious? Ward beat the **** out of everyone else. Hell he beat the **** out of Kessler and that was Calzaghes 2nd best win ROFL. Lacy? Woodhall? Viet? Lol!

Ward can box, he can use rough tactics, he can switch from orthodox to southpaw in the blink of an eye. Ward is one of the most versatile fighters in the game, and im not that big of a fan. The only thing Calzaghe has shown that he may have an edge on Ward is activety and stamina.

Crush? Yeah right. I see a points win only because of Calzaghe's hand speed and stamina, and the fact he isnt mentally weak like Kessler and wouldnt mind wards rought tactics, but it would be a close fight. The closest of his career.

Roy beat Ward ... and undefeated Kessler possibly beats Ward ... I think Calzaghe took alot of his confidence away.

    Sakio Bika beats Ward ...

Joe Calzaghe beat everyone that was put in front of him...

He schooled Lacy, outfoxed B-Hop, smashed Mitchell...

Only RJJ was the only fighter that I am glad JC did not fight earlier or he would have been 45-1...

The sooner JC gets his seat in the Hall of Fame the better...:happy

exactly. i don't think people take into account the impact that a first loss can have on an undefeated fighters career.

Ward wouldn't beat everyone on Calzaghe's resume.

Kessler was out of shape in the Ward fight ( and the Perdomo fight too)

I still think Kessler of 2007 would KO Ward.

Hopkins would find a way beat Ward too.

Eubank, Robin Reid and Bika would give Ward a hard fight.

And some of you americans say us british are too patriotic in following our fighters?

The only "wow" I gave him during the kessler fight was "Wow he headbutted Kessler quite a lot"

He wasnt that great and there were a few times he hung his chin out and Kessler should of taken advantage and didnt.

Maybe he will go onto become a great, who knows, but he aint there yet.
