Calzaghe wasnt a high level fighter on a mythical euro scale. He was an elite level fighter who annihilated the best the US had to offer, winning every second of every minute of every round vs the next big thing.

Yes euro boxers have failed to make the grade in some divisions over the years when fighting the best, who, it must be said, were as often as not American.
