If Andre Ward stays disciplined with his jab, he should beat Kessler easy

    Negative :rofl

I'm not saying he should pull an Andre Direll, by any stretch. Fight AND move, not just move.

Oh, come on now Mr. Magic. You should post your analysis instead. You are a good poster and I expect a good analysis from you.

    What is it?

Why thank you Laudrup, right back at you. :good

To keep things short and sweet, I will say that this will be somewhat a competetive fight in the beginning due to Andre Ward's vast amateur experience and physical talent, but the longer the fight progress, the more I see Kesslers intensity taking over the fight for him. Kessler is not just a mechanical 1-2 type puncher, but he's like a finely oiled machine whom can throw vicious uppercuts and in close can hook a bit. Ward will look to keep this fight on his back foot, which will not be enough, the equally if not moreso talented Calzaghe had to adapt offensively to overwhelm Kessler. I don't see that versatility in Ward, I see him backing up and falling apart from Kesslers pressure.

The beauty with Kessler is that, even though he was getting a tad bit outboxed against Calzaghe (and obviously he's had his reasons to not be the sharpest he could be that night.. but we'll not stomp on old ground) he kept jabbing and jabbing competetively. Joe Calzaghe moves brilliantly with not only his head, but his entire body, his coordination with both legs and upper body is astonishing. I don't see that type of talent in Ward, I see some upper body movement, but nowhere near the class of Calzaghe's.. and still, Kessler found a home for his jab throughout.

So look for Kessler and Ward to both try and establish their jabs from the beginning, with Kessler getting the upperhand because he frequently follows up with his right hand even though Ward can be somewhat tricky with his movement, Kessler will find home.. where the jab goes, the right hand will follow. As the fight goes into the mid-late rounds, I see Kessler thumping Ward with something big and finishing him off in emphatic fashion.

Also, I would not be the least bit surprised if Ward tries to fight southpaw as Kessler starts dominating with his jab.
    Kessler TKO late.

And still one judge thought it was a Kessler shutout.
