Yes I'll put him in at 10. I rate Mares highly.

Seems about right. Skillwise he is probably there but he doesn't have the resume.
Beat the **** out of Vic the Dick though :yep

I don't see how you can't. If Mares wins I'l put him right up there as well, he'd be on a great run. Same as if Brian Viloria beats Herman Marquez- thats a good enough win streak to earn a spot in the top 10 P4P rankings.

Anselmo ! I like this fighter man, I hope he wins against Mares. He has a couple of good names on his resume already. :hat

well let's see, u have to make a case for him and would have to choose who to take out of the top 10 and prove he's more deserving.

would u place him above Mayweather, Pacquiao, Martinez, Ward, Donaire, Klit bros, or Dawson?

Mares would barely crack the top 10 if he beats Moreno with a much better resume. I would put Moreno would be in the top 20 if he beats Mares, but he need to build his resume a bit more.

He's already in my top 10, so yes. If he moves up and convincingly eats Mares, it's hard to name 10 guys who deserve it more.

    - dominated Vic Darchinyan
    - twice beat Nehomar Cermeno
    - twice beat Vladimir Sidorenko in Germany
    - spanked Tomas Rojas and Lorenzo Parra
    - 12 title defenses
    - 8-0 against titlists, 11-0 against guys in the top 10

Can you really name 20 guys with better resumes than that?

You forgot Monshipour, even though he was past it, he was still very motivated for this fight and Anselmo actually took him in his hometown ! That's a good W too.

He will be borderline top 10 anywhere from 9 to 12.

I won't have the Klitschko's on my P4P list because the original intention of them was to ignore heavyweights and focus on the smaller guys. I'l have Mayweather, Pacquiao, Martinez-JCC, Ward-Dawson and then Mares. This win puts him around the same level as Donaire, if Donaire beats Nishioka that is.

Mares is the winner of the tournament it would be the biggest win in Anselmo's career. I think of them pretty equal pretty dead even who ever rises to victory they definitely deserve top 10 they both among the most skilled today.

Nice post. How good where Cermeno, Rojas, Parro and Sidorenko, I've barely heard of them (to me its a list of Jorge Arce and Nonito Donaire victims, if I'm thinking of the same guys)
