If Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko swapped eras, would AJ have done the same?

Would AJ have showed the same dominance over the shitty 2000s heavyweight era?

I think so. I think AJ + Wlad are near equals in terms of talent level.

All these AJ fans can only fantasize hypotheticals about their bodybuilding bum

But yeah AJ could have become a midget pusher and clincher just as good as robot Wlad. I always said even before he got chinned over 5 times to emulate Wlad would be his best possible outcome.

Joshua wouldn't make it to the 2nd Round vs Sanders. Vitali of 2004 would beat him up bad in 7 or 8 Runds. Haye with his quick Hands might have ko'ed Joshua too.
Stylewise Byrd would be difficult. Tua of the early 2000's might catch him with the left Hook in the early Rounds.

A younger Povetkin would have taken down AJ.

AJ probably wouldn’t have been able to get up and recover from the Sam Peter KDs, for one example….

    Wlad's Povetkin probably stops AJ

Vitali would have badly beaten up AJ.

AJ is gifted athlete and very competent boxer. He would do fine in a relatively short time. But he won't be able to reign 10 years in a row without losses like Wlad did.

Nope. He doesn't have a consistency that Wlad had. I think only a few heavyweights in history could have repeated his run. AJ isn't one of them.

If he had Emmanuel Steward in his corner then probably yes. There might be a couple banana peels in there though.

Absolutely not. AJ cares more about being a celebrity than a boxer. It's honestly disrespectful to Wlad.

A few people think both AJ and Fury could have had a Wlad like streak in that era lately.
