would a win over Klitschko make Joshua the new face of boxing and surpass Canelo as the face of boxing?

Of course not. This is a money fight for AJ. There isn't a boxing enthusiast who thinks Wladimir isn't past his peak and probably well below it.

He'd still be relatively unknown in the US to casuals, so no. But he'd likely be the face of boxing in Europe. He'd be a huge draw with an exciting style and the number one at heavyweight.

But I suspect Hearn has plans to build Joshua in US, if he wants the truly crazy money that's where Joshua will need to go. He's already had him facing 2 US heavyweights back to back, he's been quietly building a fight with Wilder and based on his plans he outlined for Ortiz plans on having a card in the US in the spring where Joshua will likely be the headline act.

If he keeps winning, keeps dominating then maybe he could be the next huge star.
