Calzaghe is a ducker of major fights. And he's never beaten a world class opponent.

As a fan of both fighters I was looking forward to the fight for a long time. I thought there would have much more energy and excitment with both fighters really giving everything the had. What a disappointment. I've lost respect for both fighters. Joe did impress me with his ability to control Kessler. However this did'nt seem to be a tough task at all. I think it was more of Kessler's lack of consistency, conviction, and intelligence which paved the way for Joe. I can't take anything away from Joe he's a great fighter but I think even his most die hard fans will tell you we saw far from his best. Same for Kessler. Overall a sad fight:(

Make no mistake, Joe will do the same to Hopkins, Pavlik, Taylor or whoever they put in front of him.

Props to Calzaghe. The guys is an amazing freak-of-nature kind of boxer. He does get wild at times, and so there is always the possibility that he could get caught, but that just makes his fights that much more entertaining to watch (as oposed to Mayweather, who although is also an amazingly good boxer seemingly never takes risks or really cares to entertain).

    1) We don't need your infinite wisdom on any topic. None.

    2) Calzaghe is still a slapping jackass who holds whenever possible. He even pulled a scam cheater and was hitting on the back of the head over and over.

Joe is great! Mikkel would have to come up with a completely new game in order to win. And even that probably wouldn´t be enough - Joe seems to have an answer to everything coming his way!

The thing about the fight. Kessler went with what did not work and not with what did work b/c he is WIRED to do the same damn thing over and over. ALL HE HAS IS A 1,2 PUNCH. THAT IS ALL. Once Calzaghe had his 1,2 timed he just simply did a slow akward stiff duck under it. Kessler did everything wrong. He tried to lead with the jab which is stupid and he got countered by Calzaghes jab everytime. FOR THOSE ******S THAT SAY KESSLER HAS THE BEST JAB IN BOXING. No, he has the most predictable. He was predictable. Kessler has no DEFENSE really and his ribs are exposed all day long for Calzaghe to chop him down. He threw some good lead right hands to the body but should of came over with the left hook(which is a sloppy non accurate). Calzaghe is the man, but Kessler is seriously ONE dimensional and overhyped as I said. Everybody other then pure Calzaghe haters and people from Denmark actually thought Kessler was going to win.

A lot of truth in this. Kessler lost (besides the fact that Calzaghe IS a hell of a boxer) becuase he could not adapt to Calzaghe's unorthodox style/tactics. Kessler IS sort of one dimensional. He is really good at that dimension though. Calzaghe's unorthodox style, conditioning and speed took that dimension away from Kessler. I give Kessler credit for tying to stay in and win the fight until the end (even though he had no real answer for the riddle that is Calzaghe).

Kessler's inexperience in big fights also showed. He looked like a deer in the headlights out there (I guess 65000 screeming/druken Welshmen can do that to you).
