I think Mayweather should stay retired, but if anyone wants to see him lose, Spence has the best chance.

Spence is like a better version of Margarito and Mayweather is only older.

I think Spence could outwork and possibly stop Mayweather.

Not saying I want to see this fight. Guys like Pacquiao and Mayweather have done enough for the sport.

Yes I agree. The young man breaks people down to the body too which could possibly hurt mayweather but I mayweather is too smart and knows himself better than anyone. He knows who he can compete with

I don't think May would have went near this kid at 147, if it happened would have been 140 or CW he is a huge WW.

In mayweather's prime, its a wider shutout than the Canelo fight.

Spence still hasnt fought an A grade opponent yet youre comparing him to a guy whos one of the best there was.

Spence looks good but he really hasn't beaten anyone of note. Brook was already broken by GGG, Algieri was average, and Peterson is solid but clearly beatable.

I will give it to Spence though, he's destroyed everyone.

How so? They both use endless stamina, size, and power, to smash their opponents and force them to capitulate.

Spence has better fundamentals of course, but it's the same premise. He's also avoided like Margarito.

Nobody wants to fight guys like this. Like another poster said, Spence also looks to have a chin, which is another Margarito characteristic.

Nobody wants to fight a guy that throws punches non-stop, and is big, rangy, and athletic. That's not a good match up for anyone; thus, why nobody wants to fight him.

I mean, 40 year old Mayweather. I agree that we need to see more of Spence to think about how he would fair against Mayweather.

Not sure if the Canelo comparison is apt. Spence might be more willing to walk through fire than Canelo. His style is more of a pressure style than Canelo's.

Spence is a one two type of fighter. In his last fight he used the jab to dictate the distance and feinted the **** ot of Spence. And when has Spence shown an endless stamina or any real pressure?
Dude just picks his opponents apart with precise power punches.

They are nothing alike at all. Spence hasn't proven he has endless stamina yet (he may
very well but there hasn't even been a fight to point to this). Margarito's stamina is beyond proven.

Margarito didn't use size and power. Margarito was a tall rangy guy that used a jab, switched
back in forth between orthodox and southpaw and put it on guys with volume not power. Margarito
didn't muscle people with his size, he generally stayed on the outside and rained shots up and down.
Spence is not this type of fighter at all, he's consistent with his shots but he doesn't rain down on
    you like Margarito.

Margarito's chin is obviously beyond proven and Spence really hadn't been hit until the Brook fight
and really took no punishment to speak of even in that fight.

The only similarity is that they both walk to opponents with pressure.
