If Arum retired or died, would boxing be a better place?

I wouldn't wish death on him or anything like that I don't think Boxing will be any different 1 crook gone and hundreds still left.

Let's be honest here, We would all observe the memorial 10 count reminisce a bit (Good/Bad), Then watch the fight in which they give Arum his remembrance.

Then we would all move on, Messed up part is.... What happens to the contracts.
Just because Arum is "Gone" don't mean the fighters are free agent's & a rainbow suddenly sprouts out of the top rank offices.

 

this is stupid and insulting down to the fact you put "died" in there. He's a promoter, not a nazi.

 

At least Arum is good at his job, even if he is a bitter POS for not dealing with GBP or Al Haymon.

GBP on the other hand, hasn't proven they can successfully promote ANYONE. All they do is cherry-pick already popular fighters and use their cozy HBO relationship to make money. The closest they've come to developing a fighter is Victor Ortiz, and I hope for boxing's sake that they can turn him into a true ticket-seller.

But at least Arum doesn't make ridiculous HBO PPV's like Morales-Maidana that do 50k buys. What a ****in joke - put the fight on regular HBO if you're gonna get a buy-rate like that.

 

Why do folks hate Arum?

Not saying it ain't warranted, I'm a pretty new fan so I wouldn't know about any past transgressions.

All I've read so far in this thread was stuff regarding PBF and Pac, that's just one fight (and I guess it's debatable whether he's keeping it from happening).

 

His company is called TOP PRANK does anyone see this or is it just me.

I would miss him . . . although he may not be the most liked and have made some bad or iffy decisions in the past, he contributed a lot to boxing and made some memorable fights and fighters . . .

I'm not sure what the question of the thread has to do with ****ing Pac or Floyd. Arum got them both started, but to the real question here. NO it wouldn't, he's a really great promoter, which also makes him a snake, liar and more, welcome to boxing folks. Its business, same thing happens in all business, this one is just more public. I think he's got a ton of knowledge about the game and him dying is NOT good for boxing. If you don't like him fine, but wishing him dead as I'm seeing in this thread is childish. He didn't do anything to anybody here that I know so chill out.
