If B-Hop beats Dawson clearly, where does he stand All time P4P?

Most ESB members think Dawson will convincingly beat Hopkins, even KO him. I, as a Hopkins fan, believe he has no more than a 30% chance of winning.

But what if Hopkins manages to edge Dawson? I would put him in my all time top 20. Maybe top 15.

I know the guy is dirty, racist and doesn´t has the most fan friendly style, but at least half of his big wins are fights that in paper he shouldn´t have won, just because of his age.

The guy is already ATG. How many people in professional boxing are fighting at the highest level at 47 years of age? How many great athletes are good enough at 47 to keep improving their place among the greats?? For Hopkins, just to be COMPETITIVE with a guy like Dawson at this stage, is something truly astonishing.

No one should be doing this at 40+ years old. No one. And please, don´t come up with that PEDs bull****. When you´re that old in a sport like this, that´s not even a factor. Look at the guy´s old body now when in fighting shape and you can see no evidence of steroids or any of that ****.

Hopkins, with all his faults, is one of the truly great fighters of this and any era. Period.

Part time bandwagoners would pop up once again, just like they did after he beat Pascal.

I just wanna make sure that if Hopkins does win that all these posters that said he's gonna get knocked out and lose decisively are on this forum giving him his credit(because they still haven't gave him credit after the Pavilik fights, Tarver fights, Pascal fights) because since he's 47, there's no excuses that should be givin(like him fighting dirty and using old school tricks because this will be the first excuse they use if he wins, i'm anitcipating it) because being that Dawson is much younger, faster, stronger he should be able to deal with anything Hopkins brings.

Word. This would be one of his biggest wins, and I'd love to see him finally get universal respect.

You'll get a few who'll come out and say they're surprised etc. and admit they were wrong but then there are those bitter haters who are jealous or mad for one reason or another who'll just stay muted on the topic untill enough time has passed then they'll go back to the 'who has Hopkins beaten?' play and act.

This would be HIS BIGGEST WIN. Not because Dawson is better than Trinidad, Tarver or Pavlik in a P4P sense. It´s because the dude is ****ing 47!!!

Let me tell you something right now. For the top guy at any division, there´s NO EXCUSE for losing to a 47 year old guy.

He's one of the best fighters of all time already.

He's ****ed up a few times and manipulated the rules in his favor but the same silly pricks who slate him for that are usually hypocrites who defend other fighters for similar ****.

Hopkins, is already top thirty, all time, in an eye blink. The only people who deny that like to jump in time machines and got back to the 1920's! **** THAT! The man defies logic and physiology - He's ****in brilliant.

There was no excuse to Pascal losing to him too and Pascal kicked Dawson's ass. :huh

At 41, Ray Leonard was getting DESTROYED by pillow fisted Hector Camacho at 160.
At 47 i believe, Duran got slaughtered by title holder William Joppy, who later got brutalised by Tito Trinidad, a former welterweight.

Barrera and Eric Morales are already SHOT.

James Toney got OUTBOXED... I repeat... OUTBOXED by ****ing Samuel Peter in his last meaningful fight.

And I´m not even going to mention the kind of boxer Roy Jones Jr. is today.

Bernard Hopkins took the soul of Jean Pascal, a 26 year old Light heavyweight champ, at 46. Give the guy some ****ing credit for crissakes.

But people act like this fight doesn't exist and Dawson didn't get his ass handed to him by the same Guy Hopkins took to school twice. :patsch

Hopkins is already top 20 IMO. I would love for him to beat Dawson, as much as I appreciate Dawson's own skills. Come on nard...one last execution!

Whats worse about all that is how shameful fanboys and deluded idiots have convinced themselves that Dawson was on the verge of KO'ing Pascal :patsch, while it is true that Dawson had started to pick up the pace there's nothing else to support the idea that Pascal was about to be KO'd at any second, and keep in mind Dawson hasn't KO'd anyone since 2007 yet was going to KO Pascal :nut
