    Is this at the same time that Jones was also ducking Benn, Collins, Eubank, Hopkins re-match, Toney re-match and then ducked Calzaghe ? - To take on people such as Clinton Woods, Otis Grant, Lou Da Valle.

    Seens a lot of people saying the same thing about someone, although I dont want to draw any conclusions :think

    Nope, this was during the time (1997) when a DM-RJJ bout needed to happen.

    For whatever reason, it didn't, and both are to blame, but I think the majority of the blame goes to Roy. DM was the man in the division, and that RJJ didn't want to prove his greatness in the division means there will always be questions.

    DM rightfully won every belt at 175 pounds (even the WBC, in a way) and that RJJ never beat him for any of those belts forever taints his legacy.

    All I know is REAL all-time greats actively seek out the best available challenger in their division. RJJ did no such thing.

    DM wasn't making more money than Jones. DM was making 2-3 million. Jones was making 5 million on his contract for HBO alone.

    If the fight was in Germany, then you have your answer. Same I suspect is the reason DM never came HERE for the fight when offered. Or went anywhere, just like Jones never did.

    DM never won the WBC at all. Jones had it before DM even fought Hill.

    Both are pussies who don't deserve to be mentioned in the same breat as truly great fighters from the past.

    Imagine if Ali and Frazier had never fought....but they were warrior who wanted to prove their worth.

    Jones was a ****ing *****. Still is as evidenced by his recent choices in opposition.

    What the **** is the point of continuing if he's still afraid to rematch Hopkins?

    But DM never rightfully won the belt. I'm not going to recap the entire lawsuit fiasco, but Jones never rightfully held that belt.

    You just keep tossing names out there Jones didn't fight. But you fail to mention the offers that Collins, Benn, and Hopkins turned down. Not only from Jones, but from HBO trying to make a big fight.

    Toney was never in position for a rematch. He lost to Griffin 2 times after losing to Jones. Won no belts or titles until a decade later. He was in oblivion. Jones is the only fighter to ever be accused of ducking a rematch with a fighter he beat 12-0 or 11-1.

    When you have more than just your opinion to go on, let me know.

    Re: Hopkins & Toney ducking? It must have been hard for Jones to feel any motivation to rematch two people he'd easily beaten. It's a bit Lennox Lewis being called out by David Tua or Jeff Lacy winning a vacant belt and calling out Calzaghe.

    To falsely convince cluless RJJ fanboys like KG that he's a real ATG by mowing through sub-par opposition during the prime years of his career.

    Then facing a past-it Tito which Roy Jones himself has said that he will be "PvP number 2" if he wins.

    I'm not touching this "still afraid" crap. Hopkins offered Jones 60-40 NOW, and Jones said fine, winner take 60 loser 40. Jones should have taken the 40. Likewise, Hopkins should have taken the 40 in 02.

    I always find those who resort to the huggers, fanboys, stuff can't argue a point. You are further proof of that.

    Tell me again why Hopkins turned down 60-40 in 02, then fought for less money against a lesser opponent? Answer the question. I answered yours.

    Hopkins was too busy calling smaller guys out anyway. He once said something in the region of "...these guys are killing themselves to make welterweight, they should be forced to jump up and fight me". :huh

    ''My career is not predicated on Roy Jones. I have three mandatories a year that I can make 2, 3 million every time I step in the ring with Donald Duck. I can deal with that. I can live with that.''
