It seemes that Barrera is being guided to a lightweight tittle shot, and a rematch with Marquez makes a lot of sense. First of all they hav fights very close to each other marquez beat Juan Daiz this past weekend and Barrera vs. Khan is in 2 weeks. Secondly Barrera has rematched every one else who he lost to so why not Marquez? I know there will be a lot of people who will say that a third fight with Pacquiao would be next. If Pacquiao beats Hatton. However I think that Mayweather will come out of retirement to face the winner of Pacquiao/Hatton. It is the Money fight he is looking for. Sure a Marquez/Mayweather match up is possible but I think it runs in to the same problems that Mayweather/Mosley geting made have. Sure Marquez and Mosley are top pound for pound boxers coming off good wins, but neather has the draw of Pacquiao and Hatton.
If the Pacquiao/Hatton winner is going to fight Mayweather and enless it was a close fight how apealing will it be to take on the loser. The only real option for Marquez becomes Barrera should he beat Khan.

JMM probably wants the biggest check right now, i think fighting MAB again will slow down his momentum. I believe that MAB is still a very dangerous opponent for JMM because of his style. And a loss will surely hurt JMM's promotion.

that's possible. jmm may take it as a keep busy fight while waiting for the winner of hatton-pac and a chance to unify more titles. good step for jmm

I kind of want to see Marquez and Pacman and Barrera fight other guy and not each other. I want to see them tested with the bigger guys.

i got tickets looking forward to the fight
we realy dont know ehat level barrera is going to be at so we can not say beating khan lol does not make MAB anything special
and he might be too past it to go for a possible dangerous 2nd fight with jmm
but even if MAB is 50% of his old self he gonna whoop khan and then a JMM fight in quick succesion would be deacent but nothing special man

I would have to pick Marquez to win by knockout or TKO.

I dont think MAB is shot.....but I would agree, there are certainly better and bigger fish to fry out there than MAB!

Goodness, I hope JMM does not waist the latter part of his elite form fighting the likes of MAB and Morales (who also wants a piece of JMM.

Hatton, Pac, and even Mayweather are the three that JMM should shoot for.
Marquez said he wants to fight only the best, and I believe he really means it!

Maybe I am just being hopeful, but people calling Barrera pat it and then for him to come out and put on a dazzling performance against one of the best fighters in the world has been a common theme in his career.

I don't think he would live with Marquez, but he has proved me wrong before.

i, too, do not think that barrera is shot, i would pick him to beat Humberto Soto and Jorge Linares at 130. His smarts and harder blows compensate for his lack of ring aggressiveness.
MAB-JMM would be good if it would happen at 130, i think MAB has a chance there...do not forget that we might see a Barerra-Vazquez fight. Remember that izzy told the press that he wants to fight his idol...MAB-Vazquez at 130...WOW!!!
