    Who would have won?

I know they sparred (and it's only sparring) , but my word did Roberto make Benn look foolish at times.

Any chance Duran gets the win here?

In 89- Benn too young and green, Duran was a well preserved 37 in 89, and had a. HUGE edge in experience i think Roberto would have won on points, in a close fight...

However in 2 or 3 years later Benn would have most likely stopped him...

Duran was still crafty in the late 80's early 90's, fighting was just in HIS DNA...

Marvin Hagler who faced Duran in 83- said in a ring magazine interview that Duran was the best boxer he ever faced....

If Duran trained properly he wins in the period. Duran was a cute beast, not a face first brawler like Benn was at the time.

Duran would be too clever for Benn.

Benn would likely be too gung-ho & Duran too clever at this point. Duran by stoppage, he would counter Benn's mistakes, stun him & stop him.

In the event that Benn decided not to be gung-ho, Duran would still pick him off and beat him.
