...who would come out on top?

joe abandoning his boxing and going toe to toe with the benn of the g-man fight...

Benn is one fav boxers but Calzaghe's punch resistance and stamina would prevail and he would eventually stop Benn like Watson/Eubank did

Calzaghe when his hands were halfway decent would of prevailed over Benn I feel. He would eventually wear down Benn although he would take severe punishment aswel. Would of been a hell of a fight.

Agree with this, would have been a great fight.

  5. Well if they stood toe to toe a decision is out of the question. You'd have to go with the better chin at the day's end.

the favourite would be Calzaghe but as long as Bann was in there anything could happen.

that fight would have been amazing, because joe loves tear ups and benn dont get me started the guy was a beast and he never gave up until the final second of the fight
i personaly think at super middle benn would have sparked joe out eventualy after taking alot of punches, by alot i mean more than roy took last night

Well, it depends what you mean by going toe-to-toe. If he were reckless about it then it would suit Benn completely and his power would probably win out. If Calzaghe fought with controlled agression and defended himself well, which you can still do in a toe-to-toe fight, he could win.

no way this fight is going the distance if both go toe 2 toe.

but i think JC would win.

great start by benn with big one shots prolly knocking joe downa few times but by round 4 or 5 calzaghe is away and in a groove and in some ways i think will be able to stop benn late when nige has run out of gas.

How is Joe going to stop a rampaging Benn when he couldn't stop a shot to pieces china chinned version of Roy Jones.

Benn all the way or Calzaghe UD.

i assumed we were talking prime 4 prime before the hand trouble when JC could bang alot harder than he does now
