if benn or eubank fought tony?

toney for me could of beat either of them but also could of lost both these fights. these fights are very close for me but toney would be the favourite.

flea man you say his resume seems patchy ,is it a stretch to say that suggest's an eractic fighter if not either benn or eubank do have a decent chance of causing an upset here

at 160 i don't think Benn had matured enough to beat him

 

as i said, the superlative jones....BUT if benn had somehow managed to tag him it could have been curtains...jones whiskers were proven to be suspect after his wonderous reflexes left him....

 

Yes, and if Benn landed on Roy when his legs were still under him, he wouldn't have been round long enough to be finished! I'll concede that the Benn that fought G-Man would beat the Roy that fought Glen Johnson

Mr Butt; whilst more well-rounded at 168, Benn still doesn't have a great style against Toney IMO.

 

Eubank would have had a chance. I've a sneaking suspicion about that. Eubank at his best could use range, he was awkward, and hit hard enough.

Benn though was far too reckless and plays into Toney's hands. Toney would have soaked up his best, softened him up and stopped him.

 

Eubank using sporadic punching and getting right back out after landing would indeed play havoc with Toney breaking his rhythm and get anything going himself. Toneys jab was sharp and flashy, and accurate too, but Eubank could land his accurate and shovel-like right around that as well.

As I said, Toney would have to lead if he wanted to get off his punches in bunches. I don't think he'd find doing that against Eubank too comfortable.

I also think it'd be a complete stinker, one I'd favour Toney to edge.

 

at 168 Benn does have at least a punchers chance and with jones chin he may only need to connect once toney/nunn, jackson/graham type of ko

but yes jones style makes it extremely hard for benn ,perhaps a 1/5 ratio for a benn win would be about right
i am going to hang on any way i can for a benn win

 

I don't buy his chin being that bad.

 

i am not getting on the jones glass jaw band wagon cause i dont think it was glass ,but benn did have the power to hurt fighters after all barkley was a fighter with a good chin for me a better chin than jones .nunns chin was not bad he just carried it high. if benn caught jones he would get badly hurt maybe enough for a stoppage .benn would only have to connect once to beat a lot of fighters

all i am saying is benn has a chance, but i would not put money on him

 

I think Eubank would of beaten James Toney, but i'm not sure about Nigel Benn.

 

Both Benn and Eubank would have lost to Toney. Against skilled boxers, both of them would of been outboxed.

I remember when a boxer named Morgan (forgot the first name) outboxed Benn but somehow Benn won the decision. Also Sugar Boy Malinga definetely beat Benn and put up a fight against Eubank.

Boxers with a good jab and sound chin would beat Benn. If Watson can outbox Eubank, then surely Toney can put up an even better display.

Both Benn and Eubank avoided the best mw/sm in Britain who was called Herol Graham.
