Ok. Sure. But I'm more interested in fights than someone's character out the ring.

    BJS is done

Has not fought in 2 years

Has been very inactive since 2014, fighting less than twice a year on average, not having 3 fights in a year since 2013

Berlanga may beat him at this point

Not fighting in 2 years could be an issue but what fighter has 3 fights a year these days (unless you're a prospect)? They usually only fighting twice a year now, if that.

But even so if Joe manages to be motivated enough to whip himself into shape it'd be a good test for Berlanga.

He's still got a lot of time left before he's thrown into the mix with the top top dogs and having Saunders on his record (win, draw or loss) would be a good step up for him.

You are right but fighters should have 2 fights a year, and BJS isn’t some star. He could swing 2-3, instead he’s averaged less than 2 per year since 2014.

I would take Berlanga against this version of BJS

There is no if only when, and that will probably be in the first round, Quigley will be violently demolished in one of the most shallow and cruel attempts at rebuilding a (KO1) brand that I've ever seen. He'll offer about as much resistance as Falcao did against Morrell, Jason has zero business at 168 and quite frankly, he's risking his health by taking this match, which is every bit as appalling as Rosado vs. Ramirez. The man was brutalized and stopped by Doo Doo Demetrius for Christ sakes. The reason this attempt is a egregious act, is because the moment this talentless hack faces another even vaguely live body, he'll be immediately exposed again. Quite frankly I'm not sure he'd get by someone like David Lemieux, and I'm talking the retired post-Benavidez version. Even post eye injury, Saunders would have zero to fear, Berlanga wouldn't lay a finger on him. This is probably the worst investment DAZN has ever made.

I actually like the idea of Munguia Berlanga. It is a fairer Mexican Puerto Rican match up than Canelo Berlanga.

They will probably give him the Canelo fight in Sept.

Ion even like Munguia at all but I think he runs Berlanga over.

I guess if they can't sacrifice him to Canelo, sacrifice him to Munguia who should stop Berlanga. I suppose he's always got a remote chance since he can hit and munguia has lapses in defense, but I think Jaime would be the overwhelming favorite and the best fighter Berlanga has ever fought by a mile.

Hel KO Quigley and it may make the highlight reels for a week or so, but Berlanga just isn't the goods and has to be matched carefully like this until his cash out.
