If bert sugar and emmanuel steward rank manny pacquiao so high in the all time list, why cant you?

i know there will be critics and all boxers were doubted before. its really not very usual that a little man from a third world country rule a world normally dominated by latinos and americans but if a man regardless of race wins 8 titles in 8 different divisions and 4 titles which nobody had done, i believe deserves all time recognition. these stuff like bert sugar said are all time records, all time stuff that would be very hard to duplicate. critics say oh titles are so easy to win now, yeah right maybe by now we should have at least 100 boxers with the same feat right?

bert sugar once quoted that those 8 titles come really close to that of henry armstrong where he won 3 out of 8 and manny won 8 out of 17 which is close to 50%. he is the only one to win 4 lineal titles too and second to him is who else? henry armstrong.

besides these great feat, manny is a 4 time ring fighter of the year awardee tied with the 2nd greatest of all time "MUHAMMAD ALI" and has also won fighter of the decade award.

its not only the fact that he's winning that is impressive. its who he defeated and how he destroyed those legends! look at the names he beat,, barrera, morales, marquez, dela hoya and mosley have great chance of making it top 50 to 70 all time. he also beat potential hall of famers in cotto and hatton. he was also expected to win against margarito and clottey but look at the manner of his victories, both were simply devastating wins!

“Among all time greats, I would say he has to be in the top dozen, not so much for what he did not so much for what he did in the last couple of years, it’s the earlier part of his career that lasts about two or three years ago. When you keep fighting against the best continually, and that’s what I rank greatness on—performance against the best, not just all of these records and eight or nine championships. To me that doesn’t really mean anything. You got four different organizations, maybe five depending on what you want to respect, and every five pounds is a different weight division. But the fact that he’s fought some of the best, and most of the guys were future Hall of Fame guys themselves. He has performed on a top level and only lost one fight and knocked out that opponent, which was Morales, twice. Just to have this longevity, I would have to rate Pacquiao in the top dozen fighters of all time.” EMANUEL STEWARD

"[What Pacquiao has achieved is] something only done in respect to the number of divisions by Henry Armstrong... This is equal. I have Armstrong in No. 2 in the all time list. So you gotta give Pacquiao a high place on the Pantheon."

so again my friends: if bert suga, one of the greatest boxing historian if not the grestest, even consider rearranging his top 10 all time list and emannuel steward a huge name in boxing ranks manny top 12, JUST WHY CANT YOU?
just read this thought a few of the floyd boys on here might want a read

According to *****s, Pac won all his fights by catchweights, PEDs, and fighting old fighters.

Bert Sugar makes about as much sense as teddy Atlas these days - he is stuck in a time loop circa 1947 so take what he says with a big pinch of salt .

Manny is fast becoming a legend but he's not ever gonna be the greatest of all time - never , boxings slipped so far in the last 25 years its impossible to achieve the standard of excellence and competition that guys like Robinson and Armstrong towered over.

    8 weight classes 1 champion ( sounds like a porn )

now we have 17 weight classes with possibly 5 champions - do the math , the gene pools been diluted , the quality has dropped.

In his more lucid moments Bert Sugar knows and understands this .

Hearns won the IBO cruiserweight belt:deal you cant count Pac's 140 IBO belt and vacant 154 belt if you aint going to give Hearns his due for his vacant cruiser belt.

it's a damn shame that some people (mostly *****s) aren't capable of appreciating a true great who fights his heart out and is easily one of the most entertaining boxers ever. with the talent pool in boxing steadily declining, manny may very well be the last true atg/global superstar we get. enjoy him while you can, everyone.

If you guys look closer at Caneman's list, you'll see some fighters missing. Floyd being one of them

I like Pac but the whole 8 belt thing is stupid. He is a smaller guy and it's easier to move around and fight for belts when there are 150 titles for each 5 lbs you move up. Wasn't like that back then.

still ****in mighty impressive when you consider how much weight he has gone through and his resume goin through the weights fighting and beating barerra morales and jmm, hatton who was a monster at 147,de la hoya when no one gave him a chance, margarito and cotto who where natural fights for floyd to take for quite some time if he wanted to clear the division out but didnt fancy it,and the fashion in which he's doing it.
even if floyd beats pac which to be honest i think he does, pac will still be the greater fighter,0 counts for nothing when you where scared to risk it,manny fights anyone and everyone

What are you talking about? Floyd's name appears twice. 5 weight title holder and 3 Lineal titles.

    :huh

Fact: Manny Pacquiao is a 6 Division World Champion. He never won a Championship at welterweight or light middleweight.
Ranking Pacquiao in the top 25 is a reasonable ranking. Top 10 or 5 is just wrong.
