Your first paragraph implies he wants to be informed of the results to have sufficient time for a backup plan, yet your second paragraph suggests he wants to be able to manipulate results altogether. The second is far more of an extreme claim than the first.

Well what I meant was that his falling out with VADA was about them not disclosing positive tests without signed consent from the fighters. Because of this the Khan - Peterson date fell through and a loss was made. What we don't know is had Schaefer of been notified of the failed tests earlier, would they have been handled like the Morales tests and more or less swept under the carpet, or would a replacement fighter have been drafted in.

I was just speculating about his motives in my first paragraph, but having thought about it I'd say his motives are far more likely to be getting the test results in order to allow the fights to continue as planned and deal with the consequences after rather than getting replacement fighters.

The facts are he no longer wants to work with VADA, the organisation who has come up with positive tests for a number of fighters due to fight on GB cards, and who would not succumb to his pressure breach their own disclosure policy. He has instead opted to work with the organisation who seem to provide a more bespoke service (see Morales repeated failed tests) and don't seem to mind breaching their own sample handling policies (see Quillin - Wright) for inexplicable reasons.

The problem here is boxing promoters are not going to put their own finances at risk, and therefore any time a promoter is in charge with handling the drug testing it is always going to secondary to ensure a profit is made. Throw in that private contracts are drawn up with the testers, and that no one seems to be sure exactly what's being tested for, how or what the protocol for dealing with positives tests is then its not hard to understand why there is little faith in the way things are being handled.

He said the same basic thing about me yesterday. I was about to respond when the mods killed the thread. Today he let the same exact comment about Arum's open challenge to Oscar slide. Funny **** from him.

Floyd laughed at Schaefer and then took him aside to show him how to write a contract.

but schaefer is ok to allow a doped up morales to fight an al haymon fighter? or he is ok that either quillin or winky is doped up and get on with the fight even if USADA has magically destroyed the sampleswe all know schaefer's and haymon's first priority. and it's not to have clean fighters but to make sure a card goes on smoothly without any problem and it seems that they would do anything for it even if someone tested positive.
