If Berto got $1.1 Mill for Freddy H in undercard, how much for Ortiz fight as Main?

    If HBO paid Andre Berto $1,100,000 for the Freddy Hernandez undercard fight (on the Marquez-Katsidis fight card last Fall), then how much do you think HBO is gonna pay Berto this time, to fight a much bigger fight in a Main Event against Victor Ortiz???

    2 Million???........or more??:lol:

    Nonito Donaire and Fernando Montiel, both with a large fan-base, got paid about $400,000 each, when they both fought each other recently.

    Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, with a much bigger fanbase, got paid $300,000 when he fought Hatton last month on HBO B.A.D. and drew one of the biggest ratings on HBO B.A.D. ever.

    But Berto, with no solid fan-base and can't even half-sell any arena in his hometown, gets more???:think :huh

    Uh you make some good points. Maybe it's the promoters? I'm not sure why Berto is payed so much though

    Berto's manager (Al Aymon) brainwashed HBO into overpaying Berto.

    Thats why HBO said that no more simple fights for Berto.
    They're putting him in there with tougher fights now.

    Yep Victor Ortiz is definitely a killer 147lb and pound for pound one of the best in the world. LOLZ :patsch
    Even Humberto Soto @ 135 will put a more challenging fight to Berto than Quitor Ortiz.

    he probably gets paid the same, regardless of opponent. maybe that's why he seems content to take this mismatches

    That has nothing to do with Andre Berto.

    That is a fight between Nate Campbell and Victor Ortiz.

    Ortiz is more of a threat to Berto, than the Freddy Hernandez that Berto fought for $1 Million.

    either way, Humberto Soto could KO both Berto and Ortiz in the same week.
    Berto and Ortiz' average chins would not hold up to Soto's powershots.

    it must be killing you now that guerrero and rios have already gotten bigger than soto, without having fought him. he's never going to get that big fight now. he should never have turned down the rios fight
