He needs to beat everybody(Bivol, zurdo) with KO and then move up to CW and beat at least Makabu with KO. then we will talk :brush:

He'd be a mid level great at 175.

Bivol is good, very good. Like Virgil Hill level of good.

That doesn't turn you into an all-time great.

Beterbiev's best win would still be Gvozdyk.

I do have to agree, Artur Beterbiev took apart Joe Smith Jr in a very calculating manner last night, Artur was very precise in stopping Smith early. Smith tried to come out and box, but Beterbiev was having nothing of it. A title unification match against WBA Champion Dimitry Bivol would be very exciting to watch, I see Bivol trying to box Beterbiev early like Smith, but Beterbiev does hit harder than Saul Canelo Alvarez, let's see if Bivol can take Beterbiev's blows and counter.

If Beterbiev manages to beat the likes of Bivol, Zurdo and all the other top LHWs, becomes undisputed and then retires unbeaten with a 100% KO ratio then he could have a HOF resume. ATG level is yet to be seen.

I believe Gvozdyk is a better LHW than Bivol is. But I think Bivol is the harder styles matchup for Beterbiev. We haven't seen Beterbiev in with a top pure boxer.

Beterbiev might beat Bivol but I would be shocked if he "quickly knocks him out." Bivol is a grandmaster boxer and will be very cautious and smart in the ring. I think the fight will go the distance and it will be a quality vs quantity kind of decision for the judges.

He would be the best LHW of this era and possibly HoF.

    An ATG, not a chance.

Definitely would be an ATG if he does. Arguably top 10 ever at 175lbs but definitley at a level where he'd have given any 175lbs fighter of any era a hard fight.

If you don't have cross over celebrity appeal in the USA many don't regard you as a ATG in that region or if you don't get a big push from their networks you don't get rated as favourably.

This is why Andre Ward is regarded as an ATG even though Beterbiev would have battered him and why Bivol was regarded as an underdog vs. Canelo even though most knowledgeable people thought he'd win.

He would be an ATG for sure had he turned pro four years or even six or eight years earlier as opposed to doing so aged 28. And then you have to factor in all the spells of inactivity due to injury, legal disputes with his promoters, and illness even after leaving it so late to turn over

He’d be an ATG in my book. Clearly an all-time monster to be destroying prime champs even at this advanced age.
