If Beterbiev knocks out Bivol, is he the best light heavyweight of the 21st century?

Won what ? All you've done is make silly analogies and shown yourself up for a lack of boxing knowledge calling Qawi a "journeyman" is pretty evident of that aswell as suggesting Gervonta Davis is superior to Arguello, Whitaker, Chavez, LOL.

And then when i refuted your silly points you had nothing to add so again you come out with another stupid post with no substance saying "Beterbiev destroys Spinks" "Spinks fights like a cab driver".

If that's your idea of winning an argument or a debate then I think you need a reality check.

Yes, I hope it happens. An insane record and one that will not be topped for a long, long time.

    Whoever wins earns that distinction.

I mean you can certainly make that argument. I like fighters with more longevity and longer records to be considered "the best", but Beterbiev has a spectacular record against a very varied group of high level opponents. So then the question comes up as to whether adding 20 cab driver type opponents to his record would improve it much. And I think the answer is 'not by much'. I think Bivol will be an extreme style challenge for Beterbiev. If he beats Bivol I'd put him right in the top lightheavies. He's got all the attributes and wins to be argued as #1.

I just find it astonishing the lack of historical knowledge and what low expectations certain fans have of today's fighters to be considered the best ever.

@Dynamicpuncher I watched Spinks vs Holmes. He has ridiculous head movement, and has no technicality. Back then, they just picked up bums from street and put them in gym for a few months and brand them as boxers to make fights for a limited audience.

Now everything is different. Boxers are carefully selected, they're being invested millions of dollars, they train with real professionals, they work by science.

Go watch Beterbiev's training videos. Spinks had never trained like him. Beterbiev drinks him like a lentil soup.

You and @Dynamicpuncher just can't stand a man from Russia is better than American boxers.

No I just can't stand moronic statements when someone calls Qawi journeyman and that Spinks fights like cab driver or that the likes of Gervonta Davis is better than Pernell Whitaker. Then it's very apparent you have no idea what you're talking about and your comments are not to be taken seriously.

How many ATG Heavyweights has Beterbiev fought ? 0. How many fights has he had in the Cruiserweight or Heavyweight division ? Oh yeah that's right 0. So seems baffling you would discredit Spinks for jumping up 2 weightclasses to dethrone an ATG Heavyweight when Beterbiev hasn't even jumped up 1

As for your other comment about "bums off the street" that's probably one of the most moronic statements I've ever read. And it's so moronic that I have to put you on ignore because I refuse to lose anymore braincells reading this utter tripe.

Soooo that's what this is about for you. I am a fan of boxing, not nationalities. I look at boxers as individuals, not representatives of their countries. I've been a big fan of many slavic boxers since they came onto the scene. I thought the Klitschko's were under-rated and definitely top 10 great heavy's. Usyk just cemented his place in the top 10, despite having a much shorter record than I would like, but he did beat the top guys. GGG was long avoided and under-rated. Bivol and Beterbiev have been excellent, but they lack the competition and this fight is wayyyy past due. If they were shooting for greatness and fighting top fighters in their weight class and the surrounding weight classes I would hold them in higher esteem. For now they are just great talents with thin resumes.

Spinks is 6' 3''. Of course he should've fought in heavyweight. He was just bullying smaller guys at lightheavy and enjoying success. And Holmes won the 2nd fight.

Mostly out of their control, thems the brakes sometimes. Although fighting Kovalev and Ward would have gone a long way towards considering them ATGs.
