I'd say he belongs in the top 30.

    It's a good question.
I think these questions get harder to answer as the years go on as many younger fans who weren't around when certain fighters fought don't always know the importance of some fights
It's good that boxing is becoming watched more globally as not that many years ago I expect a big fight like Beterbiev vs Bivol would probably not have been viewed in the same way it was.
I doubt many recall what a big important fight Maske vs Rocchigiani was as it was 2 German fighters in Germany fighting whereas now it would I expect get more global hype.

I would guess with the above that Beterbiev would be rated highly as I think he is the first LHW to hold the 4 major titles.

Michalczewski won WBO, WBA, IBF and beat the fighter who didn't lose the WBC LHW title in the ring, so guess he could have some sort of similar claim many years previously

I would guess he would be in the top 20, though I am struggling to think of 20 I would put before him off the top of my head

Top 20. But I think he's one of the strongest LHW of all time.

You have Archie Moore, Bob Foster, Michael Spinks, Ezzard Charles, Gene Tunney, Billy Conn, Tommy Loughran, Tommy Gibbons, Jimmy Bivins, Harold Johnson possibly Roy Jones, he hasn't surpassed any of these guys so he's outside the top 10, possibly makes it to top 15 or top 20.

Around 25 to 30. He simply doesn't have the resume for any higher

Agreed, I'm not sure I'd even rank him top 20 tbh. NO real fault of his own but he just hasn't had the opponents and he started in the pro ranks a bit late, has had low activity. Just how it is these days.

I’m not sure… where do we rank Bivol? A LOT of people think Bivol deserves to win that fight.. I don’t want to make this thread about that, but it has to be considered….

I think the three best light heavyweights of the last decade would probably be in the top 25 or so, and all relatively near each other….. (Kovalev, Bivol, and Beterbiev)

The topic is viewed from the point of view of Beterbiev's win over Bivol, because that is what the judges decided.
And personally, I would like the fight Beterbiev Vs. Bivol declared - draw.
