In a crazy scenario, let's say Floyd Mayweather is fighting. When you picked up the phone or remote to order the event and it were to ask you which fighter prompted you to buy this event, press 1 for Mayweather, 2 for (whoever he is fighting) and the money would be split according to answers. What percentage do you think Floyd would get?

For instance, if Floyd and Pac fought, I think Floyd would get no more than 15-20% of the purse. Would he then relize not that many people see him as great?

What if you wanted to watch both, or just wanted to watch the fight.

Everybody out there isn't a crazy fanboy.

True. But I have never bought an event because of Floyd. When he fought Oscar, people bought that for Oscar, not Floyd.

fun idea, don't think it will ever work but both this or 60/40 going to the winner is better than months of negotiations.

dont care so much what Mayweather says, but I watch every fight he has as a fan of boxing and as a fan of one of the best boxers today.

interesting idea you have the buying fan can direct who gets the better percentage. But I really don't like it.

I also think you don't like Mayweather because of his mouth.

Then you'd have a bunch of mayweather haters that are buying the fight because of him but are pressing pacquiao just because they don't want to see floyd get paid.

If you are buying a fight to see a guy lose, that still counts as buying it because of him.

Decent thread, its worth dicussing but nah can't see it catching on lol. Tho you shoulda included a 3rd option......for both, so the money gets divided 50-50.

Ha, ha, ha, lets just say that its better for him to get bashed here instead of on a PPV event where the public, paying, boxing community only pays him $1247.13 for a mega event............................. that would be the funniest **** :rofl:rofl:rofl

the fact is whether you wanna believe it or not, people by nature love to hate more than they love to love, so not only will floyd have his fans choosing him but i garuntee their's more people out there that wanna see him get ko'd then there are people who wanna see pac, to me this is undeniable. He difinately has more people that pay to see him but he has signifigantly less fans

these are the numbers to back up what is said... floyd oscar did 2.4 million ppv buys, pac-dlh did 1.4 million ppv buys, floyd hatton did 950 k, pac hatton did 850 k, floyd jmm did 1 million, pac jmm did 500k, so in terms of common opponents which is the only fair way to judge its very one sided in favor of floys in terms of whom pays to see who
