Williams is a strange one. Hopefully he does bounce back and, if he does, I'd pick him to beat guys like Sturm.
Cotta at number two at 160? Find that hard to imagine, considering the size of guys he would have to go up against.
Probably yes, but a lot cruisers have height around 190cm. I think that a lot cruisers could fight very well in HW but they now, that they're to weak for Klitschko's... That also one of the problems of HW. Cruiserweight is getting stronger and boxers who have height around 190 (for example Jones, Cunningham, Huck) wants to fight in cruiser not in Heavy...
I wouldn't have much problem picking Cotto over guys like Aturm, Williams, Zbik, Sylvester etc.. I know Cotto at middleweight doesn't sound right, but who would beat him? I think Lemieux would do very well too.
you know guys, size isnt everything, skills, power, heart and many other things come into play in boxing, you dont have to focus so much on cutting weight and fitting into other weight classes
Things would certainly look more stacked than they are now. I see no way the current Hopkins would be at the top of 175, though. Ward is essentially a younger, fresher version of him and I'd pick Bute to beat him there as well. The best 168 fighters wouldn't have much trouble overtaking the guys at 175 right now IMO. That's why we've seen fighters who are barely top 10 at 168 getting titles at 175- Pascal, Campillo, etc.
I would have top MW up and comers there before him, guys like Pirog, Golovkin or N'Jikam. A lot of those guys are still a bit untested, but then Cotto has only had 1 fight over 147, which was only against Foreman. Even other LMW could be there before him too, like Angulo, Cintron or maybe Dzinziruk, they have more right to be ahead of him, seeing as he's only just in the division. I don't see Cotto being that successful above 147. He doesn't seem to have the size to handle it IMO, plus he seems to have lost his fire for boxing. If he hangs around I'd say it'll be mostly a misadventure, like Mosley going up in weight.
