If Boxing was Scored by result not Rounds

    That's simple. Just allow more 10-10 rounds.

    OR

    Give more 10-8's for dominated rounds with NO KD's.
    and
    Give more 10-7's for a round where someone dominates AND scores a KD.

    But yeah, I agree. Forcing 10-9 can created huge variations in scoring, which could technically both be right.

    If there are 6 rounds that are clear (3 to each fighter), and 6 pretty close, you could in theory have scores of anything from 117-111 one guy winning, or him losing by 111-117, and still say that the judging wasn't too bad.

    how were some of the older ali fights score they were under a differeent system than athe 10 point must

    anyone remember?

    Pride in Japan used to score this way. You could win all but the last 10 seconds, but if it was obvious had the fight lasted to the natural conclusion that you would have lost, you lost. Last man standing.

    Great idea 10 boring rounds will surely be forgoten by those who manage to stay awake for the last 2 rounds. By stock in coffie companys.
