Ward doesn't do any of that, or trash talking, but, I suspect, he generates big PPV; probably more for being he's such a complete boxer, and student of the game. The model citizen tag (hero on the Wheaties box) doesn't hurt,' n his articulateness gets him exposure on talk shows, without fear of his going off the rails.
you have to win over your race or culture and I dont think black people are going to support Bradley that heavy. But he could do some decent PPV numbers if he beat Manny
It doesn't matter who you are, just keep giving the fans the fights they want to see and soon you'll be a PPV star. PAC didn't just fight Barerra, Marquez, and Morales back to back for nothing. What really help is fight fights where you're destine to lose but come up big.
The Pac fight alone wouldn't do it, but a great follow-up victory would definitely make him more of a sellable commodity. Beating Manny, and then beating someone like Khan would greatly raise his profile. I don't think he does either, and even if he did I still think he would lack that excitement factor due to his average power, but it would certainly help and make him more of an attraction.
I really like Bradley, but I just don't think he's got a superstar quality. I really doubt he becomes as marketable as all of that, regardless of the Pac fight outcome. He doesn't have the style in the ring or the stir-generating personality outside the ring.
He'll be huge. Vegans everywhere can finally have a "badass" poster child to give their movement more popularity in the valuable youth markets. It'll only be a matter of time before soy snacks are sold at his fight's concessions and he comes out with an entourage from PETA.
