Even if that were true, he STILL beat guys good enough to be ranked at the top ten. Berto's done what with just two guys in Collazo and Quintana, if we count them. And he did that while there was Cotto, Shane, Williams, and Clottey ALL fighting when he did. What's his excuse not to face them? It's simple. He didn't have to.

And You can only beat the guys there, which Margarito did. Which level of fighter did Judah beat at WW to get his shot? Or Baldomir? Or even Floyd for that matter? Hell, Floyd's run at 140 didn't even suggest he deserved the often obligatory "Champ moving up" title shot. Politics, the right promoter, and favors rule the roost while guys working hard get over looked, and fans just ignore.

Berto was just the most recent poster child for how boxing uis being run today. Called a star before doing squat as a pro, because he has the right Mananger in Al Haymon.

But whether it was weak or not, Margarito was more deserving then someone like Baldomir, who was specifi9cally brought in to make Judah look good in prep for the fight w/ Mayweather. Unfortunately, Baldo and Judah made a mess of that.

Well, Ortiz didn't. So that's not treally a point. Besides, he was supposed to do that with Maidana and Peterson already. Look how those turned out.

There's a world of differnce between "doing it", and 'I bet he could have done it."

I have to do a bit of work. :dead Disagreement aside, appreciate the discussion. :thumbsup

Thank you. Floyd has to fight a MW or the most hyped fighter in long as **** to get any credit. Really just can't compare the two..

i get tired of this bull**** people keep claiming. Ortiz is a BEAST. only ONE loss, size of a MW fighting at 147, south paw, and EVERY OPPONENT HE HAS EVER FACES HAS TASTED THE CANVAS, except Mayweather. tell me someone else at the top level you can say that about.:patsch He's also young and in his prime, and has fought at the top level. **** yeah Ortiz is legit, and as little chance as i give Bradley against Pacquiao, it's not because Bradley is a bad fighter, it's because Pacquiao is better, a physically superior athlete, Freddie Roach, and a south paw.

:patsch Not surprised this came from a Floyd fanboy.

At 24, Pac was already the Flyweight champ and SprBantam Champ with bigger wins what ANYTHING Ortiz had. :patsch

    FAIL...

:patsch Who the **** cares about known. (obviously you do, as well as casuals) You said he's done more then Pac has at 24.

WTF has he done besides quitting on TV and then kissing a guy until he got suckerpunched?

If you aren't a floyd fan, well, then my bad. Still, Pac at 24 done MUCH more then Ortiz @ 24.

Ortiz has made probably 5 times the money Pac did and is way more popular at this point in his career than pac was. Who knows what the future holds but for a 24 year old he's doing excellent.
